Massive increase on outdated hardware. Smart. They may as well kill off the series s now.

Republicans caused this bro. Elections have consequences. Most Anti-woke gamers voted for this.
@daDylan

They’re going to kill off their best selling hardware? What are you even talking about?
@mojokuku2745
May 3, 2025 at 8:14 am
I’m priced out of the console market and there are probably a lot of people like me. I don’t think this is going to be the success they think it will be.

Well maybe people will spend their money on something worth buying. And maybe even grow up.

I’m not buying it.
@giancarlopadilla
May 3, 2025 at 8:38 am
Yeah let’s not pretend the tariffs are the reason. It’s their escape goat. Ubisoft and others have been saying for years at this point that games should be more expensive.
This is all just timing, it is perfect for them. Otherwise, they’ll lower the prices back down when the tariffs are lowered or go away. Right? Didn’t think so.

Good thing I haven’t bought a game in 10 years. And I don’t see that changing.
@doctor26Evil
May 3, 2025 at 9:02 am
I played that game and to me it was a lot of corn. I don’t know what it is about turn-based games like let’s can we get the action and stop with all of the push the button and watch them do this and then push the button and watch them do that and then push the button. Games have evolved. If you can’t keep up, go home but that final fantasy nonsense is dead. No one cares and you people are probably the same ones who gave dragon age. The veil guard a bad grade because what we all know are everybody wants to be innovative until innovation comes. Then we want to go back to the old ways

Nobody was buying Xbox and now they really won’t be buying Xbox. And it’s not Tariffs because electronics are exempt from the tariffs so it’s just companies being greedy like normal.
@ILoveUEVR
May 3, 2025 at 10:42 am
Microsoft as a whole company is, like, 90 percent a software and services company. They may be off-setting those increased costs. But most of these companies are anti-consumer and the prices will not come down after tariffs. They will use any excuse to extract more money from customers, and get them hooked onto gaming.
@jesuscervantesj82
May 3, 2025 at 12:38 pm
Exempt are you brainless he said electronics would not be exempted at all
@supercadcc

@ILoveUEVR anti consumer is a very strange way of saying maximising profits
@wicsb2036
May 3, 2025 at 10:04 am
Wow, so just saw a 20% increase to series x but tariffs expected to raise the price of US imports 30-40%. Microsoft now loosing an additional $50-100 per console sold AFTER this price hike. Probably less because the rest of the world is helping foot the bill
@121476
May 3, 2025 at 10:23 am
They’re going in the wrong direction for a 5-year old console
@ILoveUEVR
May 3, 2025 at 10:33 am
Let them release 80 USD games. I won’t buy them and will switch to Steam, or find another hobby. The latter wouldn’t be a bad thing anyway. I hope they all raise their prices and get it over with. The quicker the crash might come. Everything happens in cycles, this happened before PS1 came onto the scene and lowered game prices in the 90’s.
@gedmin383
May 3, 2025 at 10:49 am
They are actively trying to reduce sales now? That’s a bold strategy, let’s see how it works for them.

You know you have the right to not buy it and save money?
@freshprinz9829
May 3, 2025 at 6:26 pm
We’re headed towards gaming crash recession lol ain’t no way people are gonna buy $80 games and this economy like that may be a few, but I honestly feel bad for the developers because they’re the ones that slave over this while the CEOs publishers pocket all of the extra money
@filmnmusic1
May 3, 2025 at 6:56 pm
I hope this ends Xbox. The video game industry would be better off without them. They have to be really out of touch to be raising their prices during a time that their consoles are selling so poorly.
@tonyd9830
May 3, 2025 at 11:41 pm
Physical games only. Used at gamestop. Consoles at the most 599 for ps6 WITH disc drive and 1tb or just get a pc

Listen, tariff is the best excuse for people to hike prices. You’re telling me a digital game increased because of tariffs, it’s not logical.

A price hike on digital games does not make sense.
@DuaneWashington-e1i
May 4, 2025 at 10:28 pm
neither do tariffs which corporations like to cite as an excuse.
People don’t “import” digital games.
@hvdiv17
May 4, 2025 at 8:26 pm
Sony raised the price of the all digital ps5 by $100 BEFORE xbox did anything and no body cared then nintendo wants to sell the switch 2 for $450 and charge $80 for mario kart BEFORE xbox did anything.
As soon as xbox raised prices the gaming industry has a melt down how DARE xbox raise prices🤣
@DuaneWashington-e1i
May 4, 2025 at 10:27 pm
So what?
Xbox sales were dead anyway, Microsoft trained 80% of the user base not to buy games.
Game Pass going up in price will be the real kicker.
@Economicfreedom-i6y
May 4, 2025 at 10:33 pm
“Importing” digital games , which is why corporations need to price gouge$$$$$ because of Trump’s tarrifs.
*Organize, Unionize, Socialize* the games industry. Corporateshareholder greed$ is rampant ruining gaming (and everything else)
@AdmiralBison
May 4, 2025 at 10:41 pm
Gamers can just dump Microsoft’s Game Pass (which will also get a price increase and only thing Microsoft actually wants)
and get handheld Gaming PC. Save way more $$$ in the long run with GOG (also own your games) and Steam sales.
