Great advices! I bought a MacBook Air M4 on the day after global sweeping tariffs was announced. Was planning on getting it anyway, and I did my taxes on it. Couldn’t be happier with the purchase since it’s more of a need and I am done overpaying my inefficient CPAs.

    • @Zane_Zaminsky

      April 12, 2025 at 1:13 pm

      EXACTLY why I bought yesterday.

I was going to buy next year for certain. (But I worried if my iPhone 11 would last another year.)

      Now I’m all set.

I use this analogy. I don’t change my laptop every two years or three years. I applied the same rule to a phone.

your experts review tech, rather not economics, geopolitics, international trade. I do like CNET but most any tech or consumer blog isnt expert enough to opine fully and comprehensively . CNET commentators are smart enough to couch things like “price them aggressively… possibly taking a loss to get people in…” etc etc which may be true, but a real ‘expert’ would know the actual margins Meta does or does not make on the product and where the components are sourced, for certain. Maybe say ‘consumer experts”
