There are a ton of short women on YouTube with huge bikes they don’t drop at stops. They are showing people like how to stop and keep your balance. it’s not about how big it is or how short you are, but the fact you don’t understand how to balance the two. @DoodleOnAMotorcycle She has a video all about this issue.

Smaller displacement engines can make more horsepower than larger engines because of RPM and cylinder multiplication. Horsepower is an equation involving torque and 5250 RPM. All dyno charts cross at that RPM. Essentially, a smaller, higher revving engine can generate more HP than a larger one.

To answer how to fix a death wobble: Hands off the bars, apply light rear brake. It happens (most of the time) at high speeds. Solution: Stop doing that. The bike will balance itself. Do not attempt to grab the bars and force it to balance. You will dismount yourself.

Lane Sitting: Getting rear ended by an inattentive driver is one of the biggest causes of biker deaths. By not stopping in the lane, you remove this potential issue. Lane splitting is only “safe” while loving while remaining within the Solomon curve. 15mph above surrounding traffic speeds. If the highway is going 30, you exponentially increase your chances of dying for every mph you go above 45.

For riders dropping a bike … they hit the big things. The other is if your handlebar is angled and you mash that front brake.

If your front wheel is turned when you come to a stop it will readily induce a fall. The bike will want to tip over.

You can counteract the force. It’s easier to just always straighten the front wheel when you come to a stop.

At low speeds you turn the bar with the turn and it induces the drop. At higher speed counter steer does this. Even at 15mph you will intuitively (if you’ve ridden a bicycle) steer in the opposite direction to turn which causes the bike to start to lean in the direction of the turn.

A 2020 r1 can go nearly 100 mph in 1st gear. People get speed wobbles because the rider is holding too tight. I love keanu but they’re not as knowledgeable as I thought they were going to be. They should of got tom cruise.

Can’t wait to get an arch

  20. @RealPoopReviews

    March 14, 2025 at 9:21 pm

The last question here’s one more answer to your question, the reason why you tip over your bike when you stop is because you are turning the handle bar either left or right then hitting breaks on front when you stop, don’t do that because the bike’s weight will be concentrated on front shocks means the distribution of the weight and how much you brakes in front can affect the balance or center gravity ig, also the bike wanna get up but can’t since there is no velocity since you stopped so instead it wants to fall, just don’t hit front break while handle bar is turned to left or right, the bike will try to upright itself. Ride safe everyone❤

  23. @mutaned0

    March 14, 2025 at 9:24 pm

don’t want to death wobble? Learn counter-steering. At high speeds steering becomes inversed. basically if you turn the wheel right, the motorcycle will lean left and turn the other way. many of the people that get caught into a wobble are just surprised/scared into trying to turn with the wheel instead of leaning.

I ride a 1982 Yamaha Seca 750. 60 MPH in first gear is right in the middle of the powerband. Do I ride it like that all the time? Nope. Can I without damaging it? Yes. Speed wobble causes other than poor frame geometry? Worn headstock bearings, unbalanced front tire, worn or misadjusted swingarm bearings/bushings, or a damaged frame.

  40. @practicalplinking6133

    March 15, 2025 at 6:51 pm

The stock 1980 GS1100E could break the national speed limit in all gears !! Dry, tight steering head bearings and soft rear springs result in tank slappers cause most mfg’ers design OUT the wobbles. Wow, a bunch of rookies got involved in questioning. This was fun.

  41. @xavierdeveto2621

    March 15, 2025 at 7:41 pm

Since they didn’t answer the question speed wobble is caused by a loose neck bearing

  42. @kevinpolito1529

    March 15, 2025 at 7:59 pm

When you’re banking through a corner at speed, the frame, forks, and swingarm can bend at some point. If you let off the throttle while still banked over, any component that’s flexed under load will suddenly un-flex, like a spring. This mistake can definitely cause a “death wobble.”

  43. @yammt3148

    March 15, 2025 at 8:08 pm

MY QUESTION: Can you make your bikes more affordable for working impoverished like myself???? I want one sooooo bad.

  44. @iio58

    March 15, 2025 at 8:14 pm

These questions were embarrassing. Fancy asking such ridiculous questions to such knowledgeable people. Was this aimed at 5 year olds?

  45. @MichaelH416

    March 15, 2025 at 8:14 pm

Death Wobble – Low tire pressure, bad neck bearing, unbalanced wheel, misaligned frame, misaligned front forks. All these things can create the wobble. The easiest “fix” is loosen / relax your grip, ease slowly off the throttle, position yourself more forward in your riding triangle to put more weight on the front wheel. Ease to a stop and then tow the bike.

Death wobble you want to accelerate out of, not let off. Give it power, have a loose grip on the bars, get weight off the front end, and it’ll correct itself.

  71. @jasonkesser

    March 16, 2025 at 8:29 pm

I am not a rider. But even I know in a speed wobble, you basically don’t fight it in order to correct it. Gripping it hard will make it worse. If you don’t fight it centrifugal force should fix it. Am I wrong? And if I’m not, why didn’t these guys say that? All they said was slow down… I don’t know, seemed uninformed.

  72. @zeeleo6115

    March 16, 2025 at 8:42 pm

I have to admit that I’m a little surprised by Keanu’s response to the 2 fingers down response. Especially with the riding experience he has. 2 fingers down has 2 meanings, it is a greating to other riders, and it means keep 2 wheels down, don’t crash. At least, that is the way I learned it 45 years ago when I started riding.

10:10 I believe 2-finger facing the ground means 2 wheels (brotherhood) and single finger facing the ground means 1 love/passion again brotherhood. You don’t wave like Gard did or do a peace sign. If you do, the other guy will either ignore you or roll his eyes. You wave or more so do a full hand fingers facing up to greet a driver that either gave you some room or did something kind.

[RE lower cc but higher HP] @asscheeseterps710 they didn’t get in to it but the short answer is it’s a factor of revs. HP is a calculation of torque * revs so an older air cooled 750cc engine that has a readline of 5.5k will have a lower HP than say a water cooled 600cc that has runs out to 10k.

  94. @Skye48843

Some liter bikes will go 60 in first no issue. And some street bikes are the exact bikes moto gp uses, moto gp bikes just don’t have lights and mirrors. R6 for example

tire tech. i can vouch for dual compound tires. great for rainy areas and long distance everyday hard use. In Hawaii where it rains often, it is great in wet/hot weather. Dunlop elite 4 or Metzler Roadtech z8. Hard patch of rubber in the center of the tires, and softer rubber on the edges, and adequate water dispersion channels and good contact area.

Sorry Keanu, but if you jump on a fist bike you can do MUCH more in 1st gear. A 2004 Yamaha R1 (with me on top) arrived to limiter at around 160km/h (100mph). You don’t normally go at that speed in that gear, but certainly the bike is capable of that!

  129. @jangrewe

    March 20, 2025 at 6:52 am

“Two fingers down” is just the more aerodynamic/cooler/lazy version of “two fingers up”, a.k.a the “victory” sign. It was made popular for motorcyclists by the racer Barry Sheene in the 70s.
The victory gesture itself is of course much older and widely used (cf. Churchill, Nixon, etc.).
Any other interpretations like “two wheels down” are just backwards-interpretations by people who don’t know the actual origin and want to make sense of it.

My GSXR 750 can shift out of first at 80 mph. Supersports are not really road bikes. They just sell them so they can race. If Arch made a supersport I may buy one.

Only partly right on CC = HP also depends on cylinder count and intent 1.800cc BW R18 has less HP than 900CC inline 4.

  152. @sparrowhawke8244

    March 21, 2025 at 12:41 pm

Power is a function of torque and rpm. Displacement does not always equal power, you can get more power out of a lower cc engine by raising the compression ratio, revving it higher, or forced induction. A higher cc engine might also have a longer stroke, which means more torque, but it can’t rev as high so it makes less power. Most smaller bikes go with high compression and high rpm.

  162. @juliuskwak1263

    March 21, 2025 at 4:49 pm

To think that even someone like Keanu can have his things stolen. Imagine going around and saying it’s something that legitimately belonged to Keanu Reeves. But because you stole it, all Keanu has to do is say he never had it or owned it.

Except that this is Keanu Reeves and that he would acknowledge that he did own one of such thing before.

  163. @hcasavantes

    March 21, 2025 at 5:09 pm

    Lane splitting has many benefits:
    1. Cars doesn’t sandwich you, which is common.
    2. You can see farther way what’s going on with the street.
    3. You are not stepping on oil and sand, common in middle lane.
    4. Faster & cheaper, less pollution rides.

  164. @hcasavantes

    March 21, 2025 at 5:17 pm

    9:40 it means two-at-the-road:
    * related to two wheels
    * it’s safe as done with the left hand
    * pointing down which prevents high winds to twist your arm
    * it’s made in a way that doesn’t confuses a left turn intention
    * a little bit related to peace-n-love
PS: Be safe, it can be replied with a nod, for when one of the bikers needs both hands at bar, due gear shifting, turning, equilibrium for braking, etc….

    March 21, 2025 at 5:42 pm

ITA: Like half of these fact based answers are weak or imo wrong for 2 guys who “LOVE” Motorcycles. They didn’t actually even answer all of them. I’ll do 2:

A speed wobble, or tank slapper, isn’t caused by the chassis — it’s a rapid oscillation of your front wheel. Usually, the front tire loses contact with the surface and skips side to side as it lands again, creating an oscillation, or wobble. Steering dampers use a (sometimes variable) hydraulic reservoir stabilize the front end and keep the wheel pointed straight. If this happens, DON’T grab a handful of brake or you’ll high side. DO give it less beans until it stops. How? Too long 4 youtube.

Lower CC but more HP? You guys didn’t even answer the question….The lower CC bike may have more HP for many reasons, some include: Tuning (Air/Fuel Ratio and modifications), Valvetrain (which impact RPMs). I won’t get into powerbands.

Sorry, but this video is TERRIBLE. All anwers are vague, useless, misleading, and even not related to the question they obviously didn’t understand (like the small CC / high HP one). People are upvoting this video just because of Keanu Reeves and Tony Stark, but they behave like they’re high.

One thing every new rider needs to be taught is counter-steering. It’s not on the road test or in the book in my state. So you can get your license without knowing about it but its so fundamental you use it whether you realize you do or not, and once you fully understand what you’re doing and use it on purpose, it’s a huge confidence builder and even a life saver
