@@TheAlchemist1089 Expats, temporar worker or vacationers. Immigrant is someone who came to stay. If someone came to stay on non-immigrant visa they lied on their application. You can apply for immigrant visa as H1B is dual-intent and then you show the intent to stay and should be already treated as immigrant.
The above is not my opinion or whether I agree or disagree. This is by definition.

  31. @backpropagation8365

    February 1, 2025 at 1:06 am

70% of H1B visas go to Indians. I don’t think they care about stateless children as I am sure India acknowledges them as its citizens. Also, I do not see Indians trying to birth here purely to gain citizenship for their children as H1B eventually results in green card which allows parents to sponsor their children for US residency. The abuse is mostly really from illegal aliens who want to gain citizenship after their children turn adults, playing the long game. That should not be allowed at all. This woman is not telling the full story.

she can’t give a straight answer. What country doesn’t grant citizenship to a baby born abroad if parents are citizens? of course you need to apply for it since the home country probably doesn’t even know that you got a new baby abroad. As far as I know, it’s so rare to be stateless unless you country is invaded or not recognized by UN etc.

Wall st is going to have to take some losses and companies are going to invest in what they need engineers and capital intensive industries rather than play the game of leveraging labor. There’s the O1 visa for talent H1B is a worker exploitation visa.

  43. @aaronbell497

As an experienced attorney, I find this lawyer’s “stateless children” argument to be troubling and absurd!! A child is the citizen of the parent’s country. Stop the BS. Please! Her argument is terrible. The 14th Amendment does not say children of illegals have birthright citizenship rights. Totally insane. I am willing to bet that the Supreme Court rules in Trump’s favor on this. This specific issue has never been address by the Supreme Court an and the Constitution certainly doesn’t “enshrine in the Constitution” citizen rights for illegals. Stop trying to deceive the public. Just stop.

Illegal immigrants do not owe aliegence to the US. The President cannot order illegals to Afghanistan to fight for the US like he can for every American. US citizens are not the same as illegals.  Why would the Framers of the 14th Amendment want to give their children citizenship rights? Read the Congressional Globe where the Framers of the Amendment specifically said that it was not for foreigners or even Indians (indians became citizen through an act of congress later). The Amendment was for black freed slaves. This lady’s argument is disgusting. Absolutely, terrible.
