I see no evidence in these comments that would lead one to conclude he is a “monster”. Its not like thousands of lies on video have been broadcast, or he cheated on his three wives (he’s only married once), or bragged about grabbing women’s crotches or about paying no income tax. You know, like the current president. Who was hugely friendly with Epstein. Now there is a monster, in the Oval Office.

Two comments:
1. The acoustics of that interview space left something to be desired.
2. According to many of the other comments, it seems Bill Gates transformed into an inhuman monster at some point. I guess I missed all that. He hides it well. Maybe President Trump can rehabilitate him, as he’s done for other billionaire monsters, if Bill will only reach out. Let’s hope.

I give Gates credit for being way more open to self-analysis and evaluation than Jobs, Bezos, or Musk. I would ask him about the difference between intelligence and wisdom — and inspiration and grace. (Gates could give it a good shot while Jobs, Bezos, and Musk wouldn’t have any idea).

Bill Gates is one of the most fascinating biographical studies of all time; the books will be an essential read and I’m sure they’ll do well. A lot of people were in the computer space, but with the benefit of hindsight, it’s clear now that Bill Gates was one of a handful of people who really understood the technology, and most importantly, where it would go. Many people were just guessing and speculating, but Bill knew exactly what was going on at nearly every point along the way, and had the business sense to capitalized on it.
I think between 2005 and 2015, media and marketing became very powerful, and I think Elon Musk owes a lot of his success to the self-fulfilling prophecies that this new era of media created. Media and marketing became a success multiplier that it had never been.
Therefore, I think Bill Gates’ success was more extraordinary and more legitimate.
