@3:36, she’s skewing the results from those studies in her favor. Studies show that people who do ebike often rely on the motor more. They may ride more, but they have less engagement/fatigue level as well. It’s different if someone uses pedal assists, but that’s completely different from e-bikes.

Most e bikes are pedal assisted.

My experience with ebikes, I travel much further, go faster, and can easily keep up with traffic. I still pedal most of the time, but at a lower intensity. It’s less of a workout, but really fun and I stay out riding longer. Also more inclined to go riding more often.

@@WS_00 Most of the ones kids are riding are not pedal assisted. They are riding models that go 26+ mile off the motor.

    Awesome concept. But…

    1) Would this be an appropriate option for those with neuromuscular disorders to successfully complete basic ADLs around the home?

    2) If yes to #1, then how would this work for toileting transfers stand<->sit when the device is built in with the pants?

    3) Minor question, do these come with an option for cargo pants? For basic practical utilitarian purposes.

This should be great for those who suffers from knee problem and has difficulty climbing stairs or hills. If this technology alleviate the strain in your knee when walking and make it easier to walk without getting pain in the knee, then product should be very promising for use. ????????????????????????

Former senior US national security official Miles Taylor shares a personal account that raises a broader civic concern: the growing cost of dissent in American public life. Drawing on his experience inside government and living the consequences of speaking openly, he says that the real threat to US democracy isn’t the politicians or hard-liners — it’s the two-thirds of Americans who don’t speak up.
