Are Tesla Cybertruck Tires TRASH?
Some Cybertruck owners are complaining that their tires are wearing out quickly — like very, very quickly. One user reported that he’s nearing the end of his tread after just 6,000 miles of summer street and highway driving. The Cybertruck weighs nearly 7,000lbs / 3,000kg, so its tires are going to grind down faster than…

Uh yes, my 7500 lb diesel I’ve put over 50,000 on my all terrains and they are only at half their tread life. And yes my truck has plenty enough torque.

Tesla owner here. I get about 35,000 to 40,000 miles on a set of tires that should last 50,000. This was a known and expected issue because the vehicle is heavy and has an extreme amount of torque which can grind tires down faster. So while all Tesla’s do this, the Cybertruck seems to be extreme.
Zero chance I will buy a cybertruck. I’ve owned multiple Teslas (3/Y) and love them so for whoever is curious on build quality, reliability, user satisfaction I can say it’s pretty high. Though I will never buy another Tesla now that Elon is totally off the deep end.π

@@joeleebristol yeah they’ve had problems. But in fairness every Tesla Model has for the first 6 months. Not defending it, just saying I’m sure the build quality will be fine in a little while. I still don’t want one though!

I promise the c-suite execs of other car companies hold views you’d find abhorrent as well, but are just quiet about them.

When you have over 600 horsepower (800 for the 3-motor variant) and a ~3 second 0-60, it’s inevitable regularly using all that acceleration power will destroy your tires.

Itβs cause they weigh so much lol just buy a heavier load rated tire
@TheTrueBuster

Better rated tyres are available and cybertruck owners should be encouraged to upgrade. Not hard is it?
