Many of these answers are pretty lame. They either barely scratch the surface or are speculation. I like it when experts really dig into the questions.

Why would you not get f1 drivers to answer questions about f1? This is like getting a heart surgeon to answer questions about brain surgery. Yes the person is still a doctor but he doesn’t specialize in the specific topic ur asking him about. 🤦♂️

These people absolutely are professionals, they’re just not F1 drivers, though Tatiana Calderon is only one step away, being an F2 driver and a test driver in F1. They’re both still world-class drivers, though I do think the F1-focused questions were a little out of their wheelhouses.

@codytyran But why would you make that joke? Women are plenty good at driving, but relatively few of them are encouraged to pursue it as a profession. While these two people may not be as qualified to talk about F1 as other hosts might have been, their presence is an attempt by WIRED to alleviate this problem. By making a joke at their expense, you are undermining that message.

Unbelievably low effort. I watch F1 sparingly, and I could’ve answered these questions much better and some answers were blatantly wrong. I’d love to see Formula 1 pros answer Formula 1 questions, especially considering it was only on a video call. Could’ve even gotten an ex F1 driver.
