    Gee, you missed the most importance difference. AC allows the use of transformers to easily step up the voltage so high power can be transmitted over long distances on a thin copper cable. You can’t do that easily with DC. This was how George Westinghouse and others illuminated big cities at the turn of the century. Thomas Edison using DC could only cover shorter distances.
