      AirTags are BLUETOOTH trackers.

      NOT GPS trackers.

      Learn the difference.

So, if you place that … in a bag. Or, in the trunk of your car in case the car is stolen or whatever … anytime that button is pressed your phone starts ringing?

So, if you have it in a piece of luggage … every time things shift and that button is pressed …. Your phone is making noise and vibrating.

That kind of functionality is better on a watch.

      June 29, 2024 at 1:26 pm

@@zero11010 I’m sure there will be a solution for that real soon. But just to sure I understood you correct, when I read your comment I imagined you were referring to the situation of putting the tag inside the suitcase, for example, and how it would be frustrating how easy it would be pressed by how the suitcase was handled. That’s why I suggested a hard case, yes.

      June 29, 2024 at 1:42 pm

@@zero11010 Wait I think I got it ahahah sorry. What the video says is that the button has various functions: one is for location, just like the airtag. So if you place it in a suitcase and then you want to know where your suitcase is, it will tell you where it is. The other function is to click/activate the button in order to locate your phone! By clicking on it, your phone will ring and you’ll find it.

Given this is an android product, I bet the customisation will be good, and depending on your needs, you’ll be able to adjust it.

So for example, if you use it in hanging on your purse, as they show on the video, and you are worried it may be pressed by mistake – just place it keychain inside. You’ll still be able to locate your purse with it inside, tucked in a corner of the purse will not be pressed easily, and the vibration here could be on or off.

Example 2: however, if you want to use it in a long-distance travel, and you don’t want to lose your luggage, you place it inside the suitcase with a hardcase and all the bag handling at the airport will not be a problem for you (you won’t be spammed with notifications nor vibration notices), and still have it on for location.
(Both of these examples you’ll be able to locate the tag, on your phone or computer)

Example 3: you lost your phone in your house, but you know where the tag is – you will click on it and the phone will ring. Easy. (Meaning: no phone nor computer necessary to locate your phone).

I’m sure it’s a function you can turn on and off using the software on your phone.

It’s actually a Connect Coin revival – that was there seven years ago. So if anything Apple copied it first.

Actually, i am using a motorola. Software wise its stable, only android updates and security updates are slow and inconsistent. However, their build quality is really really bad. My moto edge 30 pro camera cover are LITERALLY melting, and their sand blasted back glass, microlly chips its self off.

Do the tags have a ringtone that can be activated with the phone?
    What are the exact dimensions?
What is the IPX water resistance level?
