What do you think TED stands for? I’ll give you a hint, the E stands for entertainment. TED events have always had music.

@@Chris-pt6hh Maybe you misunderstand 😛 E as entertiment stands for entertaining lectures or lectures ABOUT entertainment. Not random folk song complitly without context or meaning 😛

To go listen to an artist that doesn’t have a snobbish ear for music is a gay Paree thing. We can all sit around sipping wine, smoking clove cigarettes and listen to people who are talented in this style of music. 🗼🤭

TED had music for many years

    • @Chris-pt6hh

This is absolutely not the first time music has been on this channel.
And “The TED Talks channel features the best talks and performances from the TED Conference […]” is literally the first line of the channel description.

      June 24, 2024 at 10:49 am

TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. Some perhaps found this entertaining, however, I am not one who did. I wish the E stood for Educational.

    • @PatientPerspective

      June 24, 2024 at 12:29 pm

Music existed but it was part of the speech. This Ted Talk was more a performance.

    • @aerialjordan2683

      June 24, 2024 at 10:09 pm

If I have it right, the importance of this performance is the performer is not wearing hijab and the music choice is also of some importance.
