   I have been a passionate photographer for 20 years, and I must say that this explanation of the benefits of a dedicated camera for those who are used to mobile devices is truly informative.     I cannot figure out how to get the little small patch EVF show up on my X100VI, it’s either the full EVF or full OVF. The menu system of the Fuji is very confusing to me. I am still getting used to it. Overall, I love the camera I just wish them enus were simpler.

      Move the dial to the left after you are in the OVF (so left twice coming from evf) and it should pop up. In settings you can have it come up to show you the photo you just took too if you don’t the full EVF to come up to review.

    If you’re shooting jpeg, the Fuji has a digital teleconverter feature (upscale) so you can shoot at a full-frame equivalent of 35mm, 50mm, or 70mm.

    Enjoyed your review and I agree with a lot of it, it just gives you that classic camera feel that a phone lacks, and it’s also portable, you also mentioned a couple things that other reviewers didn’t, good job with the review

    $1600 by the way, for anyone who was interested in the price. That’s pre-tax, by the way, and the total base-level version of this camera.

    Was watching and thing Oh, kinda cool looking camera, googled it an $1,600, um no thanks. I appreciate you can spend $10k on a DSLR and lens but for you average person not so much. The only time I have wanted more than my iphone was when I needed a telephoto lens for my kid’s graduation. Even then I only thought of getting Panasonic Lumix G7 with two lens for less than half of the X100VI. Ended up not getting it since I knew I’d probably never use it until the next graduation. Bought a Lenovo Legion Go instead 🙂

    Dumbfounded as to why people still make dedicated cameras in 2024. Sure that one percent of people who are dedicated photographers may be interested in this but why make a product that 99% of the people won’t buy? Smh

      if it wasn’t profitable they would not make more of it, this is the 6th iteration, Fujifilm sells a lot of these cameras and last year the sales of Digital cameras increased for the first time in a decade, so there is a mini resurgence of dedicated cameras.

    😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀 that picture of the Norma sign was beautiful! The beauty of the old Fujifilm color was that it was brilliant. If you look at a movie or if you take pictures that were shot and fill the film they are more brilliant than the colors shot from some of the Kodak film.

    Why’d you get an x100vi series camera? if you want to zoom in, you should have gotten a Fuji xt-30 or an xt-50? That way you could switch out lenses. 🙄
