For all the people who have someone named ALEXA in the household. Thank you! [according to the 2010 Census there were 9,109 females with that first name]

They are useless, absolute trash… I use it in Italian and it can’t even do a simple search… Yeah, it’s dumber than a 1 minute old germ…
No point in investing in this rubbish that only makes life more stressful.
I listen to more music; that’s the only benefit I’ve found, but it can’t even reproduce the songs I need to from Spotify. It’s meh not getting to choose songs, only “alexa, next song”, if you’re bored and want a nice song you don’t really remember the title of; or from a specific mood…

Question: why to do when Alexa annoys you.

    Answer: Sell her

If you have the Samuel L Jackson enabled on your echo you should ask him to play rock paper scissors a little funny. Yes a little not clean but that’s kind of to be expected from him.

I have five of each (Alexa & Google mini) of those damn annoying things. If I only had a nickle for each time they say they can’t find the wifi network even though the router is less than 6 feet from them. argh

When Amazon and Google stop supporting them, I won’t upgrade. I regret I bought them. I’ll get Z-wave enabled devices next time instead.

The confirmation noise every time he said ‘Alexa’ was very annoying, please just mute out the confirmation noise and wake word as well next time.

You need a better mic. I’m shocked that a reviewer from CNET would not have the best tech equipment to make their videos. It’s like a Porsche being equipped with a 4 cylinder. Just doesn’t make sense.

Follow up command has never worked for me! I’d ask my Alexa do say turn on the light, then once I’d done that I ask her another command, she would think about it, then do nothing… eventually I just switched it off. What they need to do is add string commands, allowing you to ask multiple commands at the the same time without having to stop or saying Alexa between each.
