    We need a change in the distribution of the talent pool, not more builders. We have most skills and degrees we need, but not enough to compete with the avarices of greed. Too many people in the wrong places, making the wrong decisions, with the wrong priorities, and lack of sustainable initiatives.

    If you don’t believe me, wait until AI takes a lot of these useless corporations and jobs out of business within 5-10 years from now.

    People are also to quick to jump on people like the Pope for one little remark or flaw without taking into other things into consideration like age or the limits of a persons position. That said in US politics the extremism and dividers is almost entirely one sided, with that side being “Conservatives”.

    TED is a great platform to get ones message across.
    Today what is plaguing everyone’s mind is
    what next
    What is in store for me
    What is there to look forward to
    Have we learnt anything from our historical episodes
    Have we learnt anything from medical episodes
    How can we live in harmony with nature.
    Something has gone wrong somewhere.
    The basic fundamental concepts and their variations needs a relook.
    No point in attempting to reinvent the wheel.
    How did we come so far.
    The answer.
    NEVER FORGET YOUR TRODDEN PATH.

    Sold my house…was finally able to donate money to causes close to my heart. My credit card was hacked 4 times…now on my 5th card…and had to cancel all my donations. Broke my heart…I keep looking for the good…for I am a builder. This talk has made a big difference.

    In May 2024, Lubetzky was one of a group of billionaires and business interests who privately pressured New York City Mayor Eric Adams to deploy police on pro-Palestinian protests at Columbia University. A WhatsApp group with some of the country’s wealthiest people detailed donations to Adams’s campaign and conversations with the mayor. Some of those involved include real estate magnate Barry Sternlicht; Daniel Lubetzky, founder of the Kind Snacks brand; hedge fund manager Daniel Loeb; and founder of Thor Equities, Joseph Sitt.
    Following the video call with Adams, Lubetzky suggested that group members should take specific concrete steps, including resharing a link to offer financial support to Adams, calling and writing to Columbia’s president and board of trustees, and, according to the Post, “getting Black Leaders to condemn Anti-Semitism”.

    I COMPLETELY agree with the sentiment (I’m a socialist and a creative) but this talk completely lacked any tangible detail, unfortunately, but I will read further into your ideas.

    I also think you have to be careful when labelling people’s views as “extremism”. Who has the right to define extremism? Who has the right to label people as “extremists”?… One man’s “extremism” is another man’s “common sense”.

    Islam is a religion of common sense, a religion of peace and security, and humanity will not find comfort and will not achieve happiness except by adopting Islam and applying it in various affairs.

    What confirms the greatness of the religion of Islam is its characteristics that are not found in other sects and religions.

    Among those characteristics that prove the distinctiveness of Islam, and the extent of people’s need for it, are the following:

    1- It came from God: And God – the Almighty – knows best what is best for His servants. He – the Most High – said: {Does He not know who He created, and He is the Kind, the All-Aware?}

    2- It shows the beginning of man, his end, and the purpose for which he was created.

    God Almighty said: {O people, fear your Lord, who created you from a single soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from them men and women}

    And he said: “From it We created you, from it We will return you, and from it We will bring you out another time.”

    And he said: “I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.”

    3- It is a religion of innate nature: it is not incompatible with it. God Almighty said: {God’s innate nature with which He created people}.

    4- He takes care of the mind and commands contemplation: He condemns ignorance, blind imitation, and heedlessness of sound thinking. He – the Almighty – said: {Say: Are those who know equal and those who do not know? Only those of understanding remember}.

    He said: {Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and in the alternation of night and day are signs for those of understanding who remember God standing, sitting, and on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth.}

    5- Islam is a belief and law: it is complete in its belief and laws. It is not just an intellectual religion, or a thought that passes through the mind. Rather, it is complete in everything, including correct beliefs, wise dealings, beautiful morals, and disciplined behavior. It is the religion of the individual and the group, and the religion of the afterlife and the first.

    6- He takes care of human emotions and directs them in the right direction, which makes them a tool for good and reconstruction.

    7- It is a religion of justice: whether with the enemy, friend, relative, or far away.

    God Almighty said: {Indeed, God commands justice}, and He said: {And when you say, then be just, even if it is a relative}, and He said: {And let not the hatred of a people incline you not to be just, be just; that is nearer to piety}

    8- Islam is a religion of true brotherhood: Muslims are brothers in religion, not separated by country, gender, or color. There is no classism in Islam, no racism, and no fanaticism for gender, color, or race, and the criterion of differentiation in Islam is only piety.

    9- Islam is the religion of knowledge: Knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim man and woman, and knowledge raises its possessor to the highest ranks. God Almighty said: {God will raise those who have believed among you and those who have been given knowledge to degrees}.

    10- God guarantees happiness, honor, and support to whoever adopts Islam and applies it, whether individually or as a group: God Almighty said: {God has promised those of you who have believed and done righteous deeds that He will surely appoint them as successors in the land just as He appointed successors to those before them, and He will establish for them their religion which He has approved for them, and He will certainly replace them afterward. Their fear is security. They worship Me, not associating anything with Me.

    And he said: {Whoever, whether male or female, does righteousness and is a believer – We will surely give them a good life and give them their reward according to the best of what they used to do.}

    11- Islam has a solution to all problems: because its law and its principles include rulings on infinite facts.

    12- His law is the wisest of what nations can use, and the most correct of what it decrees when there is confusion of interests, or conflict over rights.Islam is a religion of common sense, a religion of peace and security, and humanity will not find comfort and will not achieve happiness except by adopting Islam and applying it in various affairs.
