I’m sorry, but having to look way over to the passenger side to see what song’s playing and what my MPG is? Non-starter.

Simplicity is best. One screen in front of the driver, and actual buttons wherever possible. I’ll accept the secondary smaller screen for the rear cam, but this wide screen is an unnecessary innovation.

I like it. Good review too by the way.

Talk about distractions and planned obsolescence. Ooof.

  4. @DavidPat

    May 11, 2024 at 11:47 am

I would be ok if Toyota made this but getting this kind of thing from Lincoln is asking for a 5 year headache ????

  5. @Mikivli

    May 11, 2024 at 12:21 pm

their margins are getting higher and cost to make a vehicle cheaper due to screens but price of car is high.. we really need to bring back analog this is ridiculous ???? I don’t like screens personally but Toyota does it the most simple it’s not bad but man wish we had options of no screens on all manufacturers

    • @JustxDC

      May 11, 2024 at 4:26 pm

      Nobody would buy

  6. @KeithBarnett

    May 11, 2024 at 12:46 pm

As we have laws to not use phones while driving, car manufacturers add more distraction.

  7. @Zeek509

    May 11, 2024 at 12:50 pm

Im younger and even I think this is too much. Its sensory overload. Yes you can limit what shows but I would have been perfectly happy with just the center touchscreen and a digital speedometer panel. Not to mention replacement costs. Or even cleaning the interior will be different because now I have to use cleaner specifically made for a screen. I just want a simple car.

Many cars are starting to use tech that isn’t practical in the driver’s day to day use.

    • @jeffs6090

      May 11, 2024 at 4:13 pm

Plus, automakers have no clue how to really do tech. Most of these systems are laggy and not really intuitive. They need to hire tech companies like Google, Samsung, Apple, LG, etc to design and make all the screens and software. That’s what most consumers are used to, then they get into a car – a brand new one even – and it’s like stepping back into time. Some are getting better, but overall it’s rather lame.

It’s time the government step in. This is getting outrageous. FOCUS ON DRIVING

I’m favoured, $22K every week! I can now give back to the locals in my community and also support God’s work and the church. God bless America.

Well…l will advise you should stop
trading on your own if you keep losing
and start trading with an expert
because trading with an expert is the
      best strategy for newbie…????

    • @bellahape51

      May 11, 2024 at 6:57 pm

Investing in crypto/forex is a good idea,
a good trading system would put you
      through many days of success.

Interesting. I have a lump sum doing
absolutely nothing at all in my bank
account, I wanna get something started
with it. You seem to be doing excellent
for yourself, how do you achieve this?

      May 11, 2024 at 6:59 pm

YES!!! That’s exactly her name (Mrs Maureen) so many people have

  11. @WickerDuck

    May 11, 2024 at 4:34 pm

I’d be impressed if the the screen on the passenger side is polarized so my passenger can use it for media and entertainment.

I love the check engine light ????????????

  13. @JarmelSingsKaraoke

    May 11, 2024 at 5:09 pm

I Love the Front End ????????

  14. @Target135

    May 11, 2024 at 5:27 pm

I don’t see why all the hate. Looks like a car company is finally trying to develop better software. Just because I have a clock and weather off to my right doesn’t mean I’m going to be staring at that and not watching the road, lol. It might be unnecessary, but it looks nice to me.

  15. @feitw

    May 11, 2024 at 5:30 pm

I love that screen. I always thought that if cars will have screens, one large broad one is the smart way to do it, rather than an oversized iPad stuck in the middle, where you have to look down, away from the road to see the navigation directions. Also, this way the passenger in front also gets a nice entertainment screen. Really smart. But it’s funny, I see the CNET audience hates the screen, but if you watch a Lincoln video, everyone is only mad they didn’t do it for more cars.

  16. @orbitserpent

    May 11, 2024 at 5:57 pm

I like this, but I can’t see this not being a very cool distraction for most people.

  17. @jason94095

    May 11, 2024 at 6:22 pm

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. Design is also about making tough decisions. I guess this fits Lincoln’s brand image—dying.

  18. @bkstarkey

    May 11, 2024 at 6:50 pm

Can we talk about the rectangular steering wheel?

  19. @ROBERT-ex2bg

    May 11, 2024 at 7:06 pm

Ford/Lincoln can add all the screens they want. It all comes down to how long you’re going to spend in the service department. Based on my experience, I can almost guarantee you will spend many hours there.????????????????????????

  20. @CHICOZTACOS

    May 11, 2024 at 7:28 pm

    How about no!

  21. @vote4republicans2024

    May 11, 2024 at 7:28 pm

I’m beginning to think that these professional Youtube car reviews are ruining the automobile industry. The designers and executives are building cars for the reviewers and not actual people that buy cars. Much of that tech and features is lost on me.

  22. @sendy.santiago

    May 11, 2024 at 7:35 pm

It should use eye tracking software and make whatever you’re looking at a little bigger and minimize everything else a little. That should feel a little less dostracting.

  23. @BarooqNation

    May 11, 2024 at 8:06 pm

I wish they kept the v6 higher horsepower option

  24. @somedayitsgonnamakesense

    can it run Crysis tho?

    • @sawyerleemoore

      May 12, 2024 at 2:40 am

Lol it’s been years since I’ve heard that joke. But it makes sense haha.

  25. @quantumjunkie6161

    May 11, 2024 at 9:28 pm

Look how far down he has to look to interact with the touchscreen. Yet another reason to stay away from anyone driving in Lincoln.

  26. @mikeme9047

    May 11, 2024 at 10:41 pm

    Lame.

  27. @KidPrototype

    May 11, 2024 at 10:53 pm

Well done and thanks for starting where I cared about the most the screens

  28. @tpp4007

    May 11, 2024 at 11:20 pm

No one told them that sometimes less is more. This just makes me dizzy looking at all those screens and then looking at the road.

  29. @bakerkawesa

    May 12, 2024 at 2:44 am

If done well, this is the future. Some people won’t give it a chance though.

  30. @tonydolton4544

    Too much fuss

  31. @starship_01

    May 12, 2024 at 5:04 am

How much will it cost to repair it for some fault? An arm or a leg?

  32. @jacobcutrer

    May 12, 2024 at 5:34 am

They should put some screen wide ads scrolling across that thing

  33. @jackabubba

    May 12, 2024 at 6:22 am

Ever wondered why American cars don’t sell well outside America…? That is terrible!

  34. @aheadoftheclass1718

    May 12, 2024 at 7:52 am

I see alot of folks complaining about something they can’t afford…????

  35. @The_Unplugged_Soul

    May 12, 2024 at 7:56 am

Get used to it people. This is what’s coming into every car in the near future. Remember when 2002 bmw 7 series introduced the digital display for the first time, and every one was hating it. See how it turned out?

  36. @MrOmega52

    May 12, 2024 at 9:33 am

If I’ve learned one, that thing is analog can alot of times be better. 1. Lots of technology in a car can mean lots can go wrong. 2. While driving on the road, especially a bumpy road. It’s very hard to hold your ???? in one place to control a touch panel, try it with your phone. And 3. A computer can screw up at any time under the right conditions. This is from using them for over 40 years. Sometimes, all that gltters it not gold.

  37. @theoralfe4

    May 12, 2024 at 10:51 am

i need to see this panels with the new carplay

  38. @usasupra23

    May 12, 2024 at 12:18 pm

I love this vehicle but it’s only good in it top trim and hard to find any of these on lots as they seem to be built to order. If they went stalkless it would be perfect!

  39. @ifareaged

    May 12, 2024 at 2:00 pm

My only problem with this is that stupid middle display that’s just on an island. Why??? Just go with the dashboard display or do the same thing everyone else is doing

  40. @eFullStack

    May 12, 2024 at 3:31 pm

Thank you for the review. However, I’d like to point out something that is rarely discussed. If the reviewer doesn’t possess exceptional facial or bodily features (which is the case for most people), I prefer to focus on the product being reviewed rather than the reviewer. In this video, I found myself watching the reviewer for half of the time. Thank you.

I was hoping this was an EV before he opened the hood ???? Pass. Maybe 4 years from now.
