Why not use the Xreal Air 2 pro + Beam?

In terms of Switch playing, Viture is hands down the best! I have spent hundreds of hours on these glasses and there is no latency at all!

Who was the person at CNET that forgot that Xreal Air 2 just came out? This is such a wasteful video.

Xreal Air 2 is literally the same as Air 1, if not worse…

Came for the display glasses, stayed for the Sean Booker

Does Virture screens follow your head around or can you lock them in place like you can with the Air (w/ Beam)?

      October 30, 2023 at 12:42 pm

Yes they are the only one that has built-in 3Dof

With my iPhone 15 I need to use their adapter and the free SpaceWalker app that has a 360 player and the it will follow around.

They are thick, not like regular glasses.

Good review, but given the price and the electrocromatic issue, can you compare the the xreal2 or the xreal2 pro. The features and price points align more closely.

Xreal just launched their PRO editions last week tho, I’m thinking of sending back my Xreal Beam and replace it with a Pro

Viture has the lowest dork factor.

You should have compared to xreal air 2 especially price wise

1080p is unacceptable for me for anything with text/code/vector graphics. Quest 3 is a much better deal given the specs/price, but I don’t like added weight and that I have no interest in the metaverse. After trying Xreal/Viture/Rokid for quite a while, I’d wait until these offer 4k+ resolution.

I do like you’re review BUT I do have a few issues with it. 1st like the viture’s mobile dock the xreal does have the xreal beam which you didn’t talk about. Also xreal came out with the xreal air2 and xreal air2 pro (and these has the same dimming feature as the viture). This would have been a better comparison

I love my xreal air the only downside for me is i wear prescription glasses and have to use my contact lenses to use. I wish it had the adjustable focal dials instead of the prescription lens attachment which gone run you $150 or more extra
Seems like the new xreal 2 pro’s didn’t fix that problem

The rx inserts from Viture’s source cost me $126 US.

I see AR Glasses and Headsets being very efficient and possible revolutionary in certain medical settings…
Imagine being able to do open heart surgery with the patients vitals in your distant line of sight, or even an enhanced close up image of what you’re doing.

For consumers… I don’t see much except for maybe Navigation via GPS guided directions… or enhanced vision or AI assisted prompts for people with low vision disabilities.

I don’t want my FaceBook or messages in my eyes, I want relevant, helpful information for the specific task, when I need it. I want AR to assist me, not distract me or draw me in about the latest news or Amazon Lightning Deal.

The xreals also have a mobile adapter called the “beam” that also allows charge for the switch, ps5, etc. It even ads 3DoF, which vitrue doesnt offer.

This video is verge build a PC bad. Why even include xreal in the video (not even the latest xreal version) if you didn’t do the much needed due diligence of reporting?
