Subscription is almost 100 dollars per year. It’s not free. So, 100k is indeed impressive

You know American barely watch any soccer.

Note that that’s only new American subscribers on a single day. It doesn’t include the reportedly huge jump in international subscribers. Plus, they’ve continued adding more American and international subscribers since then throughout July and August.

@Edward Tse More Americans under 25 watch soccer than baseball. The problem for MLS has always been that many of those people watch European soccer. But Messi is beginning to change this.

That was just on Messi’s debut game…….considering the incredible journey Inter Miami started since with Messi who knows how many times that number of subscriptions they may be hitting by now!

What this report doesn’t say or clarify is that the 110,000 signups was on a single day, Messi’s first game. July 21st. Prior to it, Apple TV was adding about 5400 per day. Apple also added another 65000 on July 25, Messi’s second game. So, obviously Messi is making a big splash
