She must not know that much about climate change because she hasn’t said a word about driving a Gas car , everything rides on the Electric car , without Electric transportation we will never stop climate change
Jacob
July 14, 2023 at 8:55 am
Be serious, electric cars are a scam, their data companies disguised as car companies, their not eco friendly, their not that much better than fossil fuel cars, the only way to decarbonized transportation is public transport and cycling infrastructure.

Thats total BS. The more electric cars the more the electric grid will overload. You can have your electric car but forget about your air conditioning in the summer.
ejeff lamphier
July 15, 2023 at 1:22 pm
All transportation forms represent 30% of all carbon emissions, of that, only 39% comes from personal automobiles. The big culprit is not cars but manufacturing and construction. Sadly the focus on electric cars only results in a net 2% decrease in CO2. That assumes no increase in anything else and the majority of vehicles are electric.
Bryan Roschetzky
July 15, 2023 at 2:53 pm
@ejefflamphier4513 well that’s why you don’t understand , without switching all transportation to EVs you can transition the rest , the same batteries for the cars become huge battery banks storing energy and then the same batteries can be used for electric grid storage and then you have a carbon free society
You don’t have to have all carbon emissions go to zero
The earth can heal itself , it’s called trees and decomposition and happens every year , we just need to get our emission under control , you can still have some manufacturing and some consutrction being fossil fuels , it’s the magnitude but from the EV revolution will come grid storage batteries and that will take us to the ERA OF ENERGY SUPERABUNDANCE
Bryan Roschetzky
July 15, 2023 at 2:56 pm
@lpp3rd712 you charge your car at night , when your not using AC , actually your wrong and just don’t know the truth about what is coming in the industry , it’s called the ERA OF ENERGY SUPERABUNDANCE, THE SAME batteries being made for EVs are the same batteries that will make the entire electric grid , more stable and give us an almost unlimited amount of close to FREE energy , just takes a little educating , Google Tony Seba

Detroit certainly has issues but climate isn’t chief among them. Sure it rained but a lot of flooding was caused by crackheads stealing copper from the pump houses so the sewers became overwhelmed.

July 14, 2023 at 9:34 am
Nothing can stop the inevitable collapse of industrial civilization, certainly not a few tiny plants. In order to effectively hamper climate change in any meaningful way we would need to return all of the world to about 1910 levels of energy consumption, today. Anything short of reducing our energy budget is false climate activism.

So, here we are having a great conversation about climate change and al of a sudden it turns into a racial conversation of leaving out a demographic… the questio. I HAVE IS WHAT DEMOGRAPHIC DOES SHE MEAN…SHE SAID “DARK OR BROWN” DEMOGRAPHIC…I grew up in the Cass corridor and lived right next door to the people she is refering to, I didn’t have any more or any less opportunity then my neighbors, my friends…the people I love and call family… there was no question of my skin being lighter than someone else’s, I lived in the community, we were all struggling… so this division we folks are talking about is the racist division being created before your eyes… I NEVER LOOKED AT SOMEONE AS DARK, BROWN, BLACK, WHITE… I met and treated all as individuals, based on their character and morals…. stop the DIVISION AND THEN MAYBE WE CAN WORK TOGETHER TO STOP CLIMATE CHANGE…I mean WTF!
