   I have had both the Tile Mate and Tile Slim 2022 and both died on me within the first year. Tile was kind enough to replace them and ship me new ones, but this speaks to their quality in my opinion. I have had Apple airtags for even longer, replaced their batteries (they last about a year) and have had zero issues. Apple airtags are more accurate and do not require a subscription for things like alerts when you leave your item behind (Tile requires a subscription for this).

   So , let me get this straight …. If you place these devices on/in an item that might be stolen , the device will alert the thief’s phone they are being tracked , defeating the whole purpose of the device. Ok.

     Apple has been very clear that AirTags are for recovering lost items, not stolen items. I know it makes them less useful, but honestly, if someone steals your bag and you track it to their house, good luck getting police in most places to go in and get it.

    I don’t know if I’m supposed to be impressed by the airtag. I have several and they’re extremely inconsistent in the within the city boundaries for something that’s supposed to be pinging off of other iphones. Also why remove the battery bar in the Find My app?

    Tile and Samsung trackers will never beat AirTags.

    I have had to fix Samsung Galaxy 22+. Samsung apps SUCK. Downloading a Google alternative was always a better experience.

    Tile well they don’t make enough from Tile sales to provide some service it needs to work for free. This costs money and that money is passed down to consumers in the form of a subscription fee.

    Apple makes so much money off iPhone and its apps that they can offer a far superior product with zero subscription fee and it works well with Apple Ecosystem.

    The only company that could make a tracker to compete with AirTags is Google and their Pixel line.

    I use Tile, since I have a non Samsung Android. They have thin credit card like tiles you can slip into thin sleeves of bags and suitcases.

    Overall usability I prefer Samsung because it also works to control my smart home appliances but battery life is horrible.

    Tracker with Tensor chip and uses Google Maps to find and locate your missing smart tags,would be interesting a feature rolling out in Quater 3 – October or May 2024 keynote, Microsoft should get on the tile tracking business by acquiring Tile.

    This video is a little late as I just recently got some AirTags, but obviously if you have a Samsung or an iPhone you get the tracker that corresponds to your device, currently in my case iPhone+AirTag. I have used Samsung’s SmartTag with a Galaxy A53 in the past and while I was able to find the tag which slipped out of my bicycle’s bottle holder, it took a LONG while for it to connect even though I was within Bluetooth range. I found the tracker before my phone did and it never notified me that it got left behind.👎

    This review is sort of bad timing as the New Android Find My Network launches in about 3 weeks which should work as well or better than apples Airtags or apples find my network as way more android phones about. Samsung smart tags networks is so small & only works with Samsung devices. The only thing Airtags & Samsung has over Android is UWB for better locating finding.

    iPhone and Galaxy phones are not the same, there is a non galaxy phones from samsung and that is epic fail that their tag is not supported
