It has been for the last two decades, at least. At least they don’t spread leftist propaganda like Engadget and The Verge. Even that seems to have been curbed now.

So C1 is still the best choice because they again have chose brightness over motion clarity just like with the C2 series. The brightness is so overrated, even the CX was more than bright enough. I choose better motion on the C1 over that any day.

    • J Frank

      March 29, 2023 at 9:15 am

Educate yourself so you don’t remain ignorant. Motion and processing was significantly improved from C1 to C2 and that continues with C3.

Samsung has improved motion as well. MLA technology is being used simply to compete now with QD-Oled, which is why LG is using it in their G series.

Sadly for LG, the Samsung S95C is the best TV in 2023

    • T. Wood

      March 29, 2023 at 12:46 pm

And sadly the crappy updates that have made The Samsung s95b worse since it came out Will more than likely take the S95C down the same DARK road !

Is it even possible to make a bad OLED TV screen? With tube TVs and LED-LCDs, easily. OLED, I don’t think so. I guess QD-OLED will make older OLEDs look inferior, but are the days of washed out budget TVs in the past? I don’t think any phone with an OLED or AMOLED screen has ever been truly bad.

    • Ou8y2k2

      March 29, 2023 at 8:46 pm

Sure, OLEDs rule, but they’re still too expensive. Most folks are still spending less than 500 clams on a TV if they even buy one…

Qd oled is the way to go, dont buy lg, go samsung

    • Josh Alan

      March 29, 2023 at 11:03 am

Samsung is trash. Their products are great for the first few years and then they start to have severe problems. I’m speaking from personal experience as I’ve had both a Samsung refrigerator and a laptop that died after about three years. QD Oled is still a new technology and is currently shown to be far less reliable than W-Oled during testing. I will never purchase another Samsung product again until they step up their quality control or make products that actually last. So far, I have had very good success with every LG product I have purchased in the past 15 years.

    • Dedric Silva

      March 29, 2023 at 11:07 am

@Josh Alan I wish Samsung had Dolby Vision but they’re too cheap to get the license.

I like Sony’s implementation of QD OLED but find the Samsung’s a bit too aggressive. Sadly the Sony costs an arm and a leg.

LG had to put out an update to fix the ABL already. It was way too aggressive and they addressed it. Most ppl cannot afford the G Series. I’d go with the QD-OLED personally

Most people don’t have a disposable income to buy the latest TV. Or would rather stick with their old TV that they have been using for decades.

The colors are so much better then last year’s model! It’s amazing we were able to survive without these new colors.
