only if the hardware was made for the software. all the stats in the world mean nothing

“expert raw” and all the movie trash… this whole event was a copy and paste of an apple event… wish android companies would get off their lazy bums and start to innovate again

You might as well ask to innovate a toaster at this stage of the game as that is what phones are at now as a consumer devise. Also, I’m not sure what people mean by innovation now. It is overused and means nothing. If you say innovation is a longer lasting battery and better power management. Well that is not innovation. It is an improvement. Innovation is allowing the phone to do something it really can’t do now. I do not know what new features most people want to see on a phone in 2023 that is not there now.

    I jus got my s22 😭

Why are they charging so much for something that doesn’t have a headphone jack or expandable storage? They’re just Apple doing Android now.

    Bring back SD support

Come on people, it’s not “JIF” it’s “GIF” as in “Gift” as in “Graphics Interchange Format”. Please stop butchering it.

Basically just a better camera. Not worth the upgrade cost. Sticking with my 22 for a while

  12. my opinion

    February 1, 2023 at 11:53 pm

Am I the only one: I would like a great smart phone, NOT a great camera in a phone, this is perfect example of paying for something that most people don’t need or don’t want. Flagship phone for me is about screen size and memory capacity plus processor speed and battery life, I honestly have no use for super-duper multi-camera system-sensors

  13. Olivur_

    February 1, 2023 at 11:58 pm

For me it’s all about the camera, both front and back. I’ll wait for the reviews; if the camera is at least as good as the 14 Pro series, I might consider this over the iPhone as a long-term Android user.

I coukd care less about my phone camera. Improve my battery and remove bloat.

    • Kevin Hellalong

They did improve battery life, were you not listening?

  17. Joshua Nolan

    February 2, 2023 at 12:34 am

So it has a slightly better camera and the IOS 16 Home Screen set up…. Don’t the Samsung guys make fun of apple for lack of innovation? This upgrade is basically non-existent

  18. Vindy Treendrian

    February 2, 2023 at 12:38 am

the fact that today’s smartphone is all about camera…

  24. Michael Mangraviti

    HATE that she said “Jif”

  25. dext98

    February 2, 2023 at 1:13 am

I think it’s clear, phones have peaked. These phones look good but worth an upgrade? No. It seems all about the camera, as long as I can take a photo or video, does the average user need “super HDR”? Can’t wait to watch that on the 8k tv which 99% of the world don’t have

  26. Phillip Lemmon

    February 2, 2023 at 10:38 am

its the same phone as last years (s22 ultra) no big changes

    Yawn.. zero innovation.

  33. okniceguy

    February 2, 2023 at 11:36 am

They need to make the larger phones compact and include all these features

  34. TToTT

    February 2, 2023 at 12:01 pm

Still no reason for me to upgrade from my s9+ 😅

  35. Arnold Mbuthia

    February 2, 2023 at 12:04 pm

what I love about iPhone is how they pay some attention to pictures taken of people of colour. Now, this comment is not some woke bs, no. Most phones can’t perceive the texture of curly hair, and skin tone.

  36. ImranXTech

    February 2, 2023 at 12:07 pm

Samsung is dying. Boring same c/rap every year with new naming.

  37. Jon Page

    February 2, 2023 at 12:25 pm

    3:12 it’s pronounced GIF

  38. Alex Ander

    February 2, 2023 at 1:13 pm

Phone camera’s are going the way of men’s shavers. 1 blade, 3 blades, 5 blades….soon the back of these phones will be all camera lenses and sensors and they’ll have handles on the sides so you can hold them.

  39. Beyanky jnr

    February 2, 2023 at 1:20 pm

I hate the chin on the PC they should get rid of it.

  40. uGatoBeKittenMe

I couldn’t care less about a slightly better camera, does it have a headphone jack and SD card slot?

  43. Liz Douglas

    February 2, 2023 at 2:07 pm

I’m up in the air since I still have my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Problem is I’m running out of room. In addition, it’s the last phone that gives you an expanded SD slot. I’m a photographer, but happy with my Nikon. Nevertheless, What to do?

  44. R I Z ZEEN

    February 2, 2023 at 2:36 pm

How about cinematic mode on video is it available?

  45. Micheal Adebz

    February 2, 2023 at 2:42 pm

This is disappointing it seems Samsung is innovating even less than apple these days. Even the iPhone 14 pro has more upgrades than this. This is essentially a renamed s22.

  46. Evan Beebe

    February 2, 2023 at 3:07 pm

The biggest part about this years lineup is that they don’t remember that the s8 and s9 were virtually the same as each other as well. Then Samsung went crazy with the s10 and note 10. This is a gap year, and they are saving their best just like apple is, and the true showdown is in 2024.

    • Antonio Méndez

      February 2, 2023 at 6:44 pm

It seems like the s22 was the same thing as the s21 so technically it’s been two gap years?

  47. Casimiro Chor

    February 2, 2023 at 4:27 pm

Still not a fan of OneUI. Too clunky and bloated with Samsung duplicate apps. Phones are also too expensive when the Pixel line exists.

  48. Stevo

    February 2, 2023 at 6:30 pm

Same phone as the S22 lineup.
    Waste of money.
