Why does this feel like the start of a sci fi horror movie😅😮

What is the purpose of discovering life 100 light years away? We don’t even have the technology to communicate with someone that far, forget about ever being able to visit that planet.

Because tech continues to move forward. 200 years ago no one had a phone, nor had they traveled by jet to visit relatives on Christmas.

@Robert E McCallum 100 light years means it takes light 100 years to reach us from that planet. Scientists may disagree on many things but everyone agrees that nothing can travel faster than light. So, under what circumstances will we be able to communicate with that planet?

      January 25, 2023 at 9:44 pm

@Robert E McCallum Moreover, we can’t be sure that the plant still exist there. What we know is that the planet used to exist at that place 100 years ago.
It’s beacuse the light that was reflected from planet 100 years ago has finally reached us now.

We will – lessen – to that planet ; and maybe ; one day receive a signal 📳🎼🎶

@dameto cosita Say they sent us a message some time in the past 100 years, perhaps we’ll hear from them at least.

It doesn’t matter. The evidence bar for determining a planet orbiting a star, the distance from the star, and composition of the planet is extremely low.

It’s basically looking at a dot, seeing the dot do something, and then claiming the reason it is doing that, when that could be any reason you haven’t yet discovered or any reason you have, and just don’t know it applies here.

These are theories that have not in the least been tested and only really serve to get grants from people who know nothing of actual science.

The only people who can expose this are people doing the exact same thing and would have a massive detriment to their careers if they did… and people like me who no one will listen to, because we don’t have diplomas in the field and if we did, we would have to do what they are doing and be like them. It’s also the reason scientists have the largest by far chance of being laughed out of their field; this doesn’t happen anywhere else.

@dameto cosita  tech continues to advance. What was once was fantasy is now reality. Regardless your lack of faith in what we will be able to do long after you are gone, what is impossible today in the future might be child’s play. Distance and time may just be illusion.

We already discovered them with plenty of life on them and with Advanced Civilizations NASA just won’t tell you it’s cute tho that u think we just now discovering all this for the very first time ur actually hearing about discoveries that wr made years ago not the ones they made yesterday

    • dameto cosita

      January 25, 2023 at 9:47 pm

And what weird fantastic reason would they have for hiding this information? What would they really achieve by hiding information about life on other planets?
      Please enlighten me.

@dameto cosita Maybe so people don’t send them stupid messages lol

      January 26, 2023 at 2:53 pm

They haven’t even discovered them now, this is just a theory that has not been tested with the scientific method.

They just make it sound like it’s a real discovery because it’s the only way to justify their grant money.

Don’t waste your time(it’s a lot of time). The evidence bar for determining this is extremely low.

That’s why they always show you computer generated models, because if they showed you what they’re actually seeing and using as a determinant, you would laugh in their faces.

They just use it to justify their large research grants and the only ones who could tell you the truth are others like them, doing the same.

They waste time on things they can never reach. Even if you could travel light speed, it’ll take a century and you’ll be dead before you get there not to mention that speed is impossible.

Would be nice if they ever found any living brain cells in their skulls or the money wasted on them!

A red dwarf with it’s permanent flares leaves this planet NO chance of developing life…even with liquid water on it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Doesn’t matter if they find a million habitable planets if we can’t even get to one.
