Robot being so big, can have 4 – 8 arms… For example, two arms pick up a heavy object, jar like, user presses a button and toggles to the second we told arms to open the lid, toggle and another set to reach in, for odd situations that require more than 2 arms, we’ve all been there where more hands are needed for a task am I right?

Design to last longer than humans???😂
    Isn’t that the point??

Who wants to invest into robot that can only last 3min under water??

I still fail to see why it had to be humanoid. And why it has binocular vision… If it’s just going to be on a regular screen. This feels like a missed opportunity to apply VR tech.

What’s unclear to me is what features would let it weld at that depth, fending off pressure waves on its equipment maybe 100 times those at 10 M. Maybe hand it a ring and kick into the ring? I want this thing pouring cement and welding to get MA offshore wind back in the fungible zone…

That my dream job! Im currently getting a degree in Mechanical Engineering to do just what they are. So Awesome! I hope to see it in person someday, and meet the team that worked on it.

All that said I have tons of questions:
    – Does it have to be tethered to communicate with the ground station?
    – Would it be possible to convert its controls to VR?
    – It looks like its head can rotate, if so, how much?
