Don’t like NFTs but they have nothing to do with the art and never have, the main point is that they are non-fungible .

Another distraction to keep us away from something bigger, you know with all the knowledge and money these people have, you think they will actually come up with something to benefit humanity, great video nevertheless Cnet, kinda showing us the worthlessness of this.

A marvelous on-air personality. As a former talent scout looking for TV news anchors, this guy has a magnetic presence, not appropriate for news of course, but appropriate for other programming. Sameness pervades on-air personalities. Mr. Chan manages that problem and then conveys content in an interesting, compelling way. Too bad he’s in real estate and not in TV.

It is genuinely hysterical how terrible the “Metaverse” looks. Like 500x worse than Second Life which is from like 2001

That’s what people said about domain names, yet I converted domains to value in the real world quite a few times over the years. Just because it is virtual does not make it worthless.

Look at playstation home. When it started it had a private ship and a go cart track . However players can make spaces. You can buy the tools to make homes. Then you sell them just like the one you bought. But hers the catch. Thousands of people have baught that one your you almost. So you make a house and it sells thousands of times. So buy a house a week the make a house a day. Now people can sell their creativity.

If video games can go from 2 rectangles and a dot on your screen 50 years ago to the modern age just imagine what this could evolve into. Ever see Ready Player One?
The Gentleman Phantom
October 21, 2022 at 5:30 pm
@Max Headroom this isn’t science fiction, but as a reminder, Ready Player One was not a good thing, much like the Matrix. I don’t think you understand how unpopular the “metaverse” is or why. Its unpopular because it does everything worse than video games have already been doing while monetizing people and giving investors unaware of how far gaming is a lot of false hope. Nobody wants this besides those investors. The vast majority of people don’t want to be monetized or do boring everyday things in a virtual world.
At this point, calling any project a “metaverse” is a death sentence for any company. This tainted by the monetization, scams and just overall lack of appeal.

@The Gentleman Phantom Last year at this time the word metaverse wasn’t even used. It’s obviously not going to happen overnight but as life becomes more and more digital and kids look for online spaces to hang out the Metaverse can play a role. I completely though agree that right now it’s far from popular, to put it mildly.

Upland Metaverse will end up #1 in the end. Right now yeah it looks pointless. But this is where the world’s entertainment is headed. Especially after the next Establishment induced “Pandemic”. Once Web3 is implemented, then its a totally different world. Corporations and Businesses will flood in to secure thier spots and advertise. Web3.0. ANKR
