Thanks for watching! What do you think of the Ultra now you’ve seen what it can do? ⌚️

Apple does a good jobs with adding features via software… long term support is good. I am in.

I love that you pointed out how the battery isn’t as great as some of the other sports dedicated smartwatches and also explained why that is. No many reviewers are covering that. Like how can you want weeks worth of battery life while also providing all the amazing features it does.

The best review about the Ultra I’ve seen. The real-world testing and examples were really helpful!

I think it needs to be a little clearer that the Series 8 is much more affordable and the way to go if you do NOT care about the stainless steel frame. $429 for the 45 mm GPS / $529 for 45 mm GPS + Cellular. So if you don’t care about stainless steel, you can still save almost $400 by getting the aluminum 45 mm GPS Series 8.

I would really like this watch, but believe the watch face might be too oversized for my wrist.

Excellent review, far better than some dude in his man cave. Been watching the CNET team for years now, always a proper review I find.

Hi Lexy! Great review! What is the size of your wrist in mm?

    Great review Lexy.
After seeing this video and others like iJustine and seeing the Ultra on thin wrists (which I have) has confirmed my thoughts that it would’ve looked hideous on my wrists. The Ultra will certainly be a good watch for a lot of people, but for people with slim wrists I have got to say it looks hideous. I find the normal Apple Watch especially in stainless steel looks a far classier and smarter looking watch, that would be more of an everyday watch that would look better with smart or casual clothes. Too be fair to the Ultra, every day wear is not I think what it was designed for.

I see that Apple incorporates a waypoint map from my Garmin watces (like my 2009 310XT !!!) … Garmin breathes a sigh of relief that Apple has not realised that any serious outdoor endurance Athlete requires offline topological maps, especially during a competition. So other than the flaws Apple, great watch 🙂

In the UK at least getting Cellular on your Smartwatch is not just between difficult and little choice, it’s an opportunity to burn a hold in your pocket. Apple could do better to release a non cellular version for locations where Watch cellular is not practical.

I wear a Samsung gear s3 frontier. I don’t really change my watch all that often so I don’t know, if it’s too big. My watch now is 46mm. And that is really pushing it.

I mean the stainless steel version costs the same and does less and uses weaker materials soooooo…..?799 for what this does isn’t to steep. Esp when compared to the wacky priced stainless steel Hermes versions which go for 1500-1700. I wish the ultra came in black along with this silverish color. Like samaung did with their galaxy watch 5 pro.

A lot of work must have gone into the research and presentation. Absolutely fantastic review. As always the best from Lexy. Informative, precise and entertaining. Surely Lexy deserves a promotion and bigger pay!

Not really that attractive of an option to wear for everyday casual use outside. Would have preferred an all black option.

Any outdoor watch you cannot interact with in the rain is not an outdoor watch
