My favorite part is paying thousands of dollars for a new tv and getting served unremovable ads on the home screen!

Roku TV has them as well but they aren’t as obnoxious

We have a 65″ M7 series from 2019 and it likes to randomly reboot. Fun.
Also we haven’t used the “smart” features for over a year; opting instead for the Amazon Firestick. The Smartcast system is slow and clunky, and it hardly has any apps.
I’d be interested to know how many people actually use the apps on their TV vs how many people use a streaming device.

Most lower end smart TVs have that problem. I have the same problem from day one. With my JVC 70ich 4k Oled. The software is outdated even if it’s 2022 tv lol. They sell older unused parts. I have google Tv and that never once had problem. But I always used the Tvs software. Because it works better when I side load moive apps.. 🤫

I (or my immediate family) have personally owned 4 Vizio TVs (50” – 70”)and a soundbar. The oldest one being from around 2014. All still working. One of the TVs has even moved overseas and back with me. I’m not a hardcore gamer, so I can’t speak to that, but the Vizio has met our needs perfectly. I mostly stream from my phone/iPad or from my Apple TV. I’ve seen many people dislike or be impartial towards their smart cast system. The main reason I don’t mind it is because I usually use my phone as the remote. There’s no need to scroll through the Home Screen when you do that. Just select the app you want to open. Easy day.

Glad to see they’re giving us something new soon.

Vizio has great displays being that they just source from other manufacturers. My main issue with them is software. My OLED barely boots up and has constant software issues. Hope these TV get more support at least. You are definitely paying for cheaper software support.

My 4K vizio tv lasted me 3 years. My brothers lasted 1. I think we’re okay on getting another Vizio

    Crazy, 1080P, 24″ for under $200. I remember in 1997 my company bought 24″ flat-screen TVs for $25,000/each.

I want a TV , no smart no nothing extra. just a couple inputs and that’s it. I will not buy a tv any more because they have to put so called smart in them.

Funny, after 1 and half year of hassle I’ve experienced with my vizio oled, specially the buggy firmware, features straight up broken for months and even CEC unreliability, youtube puts this on my recommendation list. Such a satire!

this seems like regression. i have 2021 m series with fald and 3d and a 240 hz panel that still works.

When is the 50 inch m series (gaming) tv going to be released? And the new m series elevate sound bar?

      July 20, 2022 at 11:09 pm

I hope this brings down the price of the old elevate

My 2015 M series literally just died 2wks ago. It only my 2nd tv to ever die on me. The other one being a Sharp Aquos from 2006 that died on me 2yrs ago. I can’t wait for DK’s reviews so I know which one to buy.

So no new OLED or P series or p quantum x?! What a pathetic line up!!! Hoping this new firmware update fixes my 2021 p series or I’m switching manufacturers

Not a great lineup at all to me. No new P series? They are lagging behind the competition. Not impressed.
