I’d easily take a worse mic sound to not have a boom mic. It’s hard not to laugh at the way people look with it

I hate the new CNET logo it looks old

They need a better one than that. They should go back to the old one. The old one screams CNET

Yeah the proper one looks modern and newer lol

Steel series hasn’t failed me yet, but all the other brands mentioned; yup.

Can you use any headphone that has a 3.5mm cable? Like can I just use my XM3’s?

    • Torkijo

      May 2, 2022 at 1:02 pm

Havent tried for microphone, but for sound yes, jsut plug thenm into the controller

    • José Manuel Chaparro

      May 2, 2022 at 2:07 pm

The XM3’s works just for audio, the mic does not work.

    Don’t have any of these..
got an old pair of “Corsair Vond Elite surround” all-black.that I picked up some years ago at a regional Black Friday sale at around 30euro here in Denmark.
not been used a lot, but does the job… like they are quite big with huge earcups and comfortable but I reckon they could be to big if you got a little small head and small ears.. for a male nordic adult head.. the size is great..

Everyone sleeps on the 7x, I’ve had mine for awhile now. I love it, ps5, xsx and pc

@Travis Floyd it’s great, there for a while it was sold out but it works with every platform. Can’t go wrong. Even the wife loves it on her iPad Pro 🤣

Have ‘em too, wish they were a little louder but they sound great still. Only pain for me is having to unplug/ replug dongle into different console & the little switch on the dongle itself… I realize this is a first world problem but just my little issues with the headset.

Your new logo looks awful. But maybe we will get used to it over time.

Why? Why do you feel like you need to say this. 1 no one asked your opinion. 2 if you don’t like is why can’t you just ignore it. Lastly if you don’t like something why do you feel like you need to say something

I didn’t realize if CNET has changed the Logo. From usually I see into new one

That’s a personal problem my guy

    • zero11010

      May 2, 2022 at 3:20 pm

@Thanh Ha you’re right …. Because clearly MOST of the population can find them fine. So, it’s just a personal problem. You’re so good at this.

Please check out Logitech 435 Wireless headsets for PS5. They are great as per their value.

I wear glasses, so thanks a ton CNET for getting this guy to review these! I don’t find many video reviews that will speak to comfort levels while wearing glasses. — I think I’m go with the SteelSeries pair.

I have a ps 3d pulse headset. My opinion its a below average headset. Feels cheap, battery is decent, it is comfortable. Don’t care much for the internal mic. I miss flipping the outside mic up for mute. There is some others little petty reasons that make me miss my prior heads also. 200 or less headset is the HyperX brand. I miss that headset. Again just my opinion

  18. Human Entrails

    May 2, 2022 at 6:37 pm

Don’t buy the pulse 3D. One of the worst headsets I’ve bought for a console that’s supposed too be good. Spend a couple extra dollars and you won’t be disappointed. The soundstage isn’t good at all.

    • Buuboi214

      May 3, 2022 at 6:39 pm

      So what would you recommend?

    • Human Entrails

      May 4, 2022 at 2:26 am

@Buuboi214 I didn’t have an issue with any of the recommendations but the pulse 3D. I’ve spent way too much money on headsets over the years and just went with the basic Sony OEM headset and Xbox OEM headset. Stick to the $100-$200 range for wireless headsets and as in the video the HyperX is probably the best for under $100.

Where’s the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 gaming headphones w/ mic ???….

  20. Mike A

    May 2, 2022 at 8:35 pm

I was hoping you would have included the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro in the comparison which are the headphones I currently own and use.

  21. Ahmed Ehab

What about the new hyperx alpha wireless headset?

  22. Micheal Adebz

    May 3, 2022 at 5:39 am

can we all just spam “change your logo” on every video they post now.

I use the pulse 3D and I love them. They sound brilliant!
