I guess it’s good to have data on hypersonic speed. But for commercial flight I don’t think this would be used much. And who knows when this will happen. Supersonic flights might not even happen until the end of the decade at the earliest.

Hypersonic commercial flight will never happen.
    1. Just a Advertisement to collect buck.
    2. Hyperlly costing and Hyperlly dangerous. (Many junk up there, space trash, small rock, gopro On balloons)
3.because even with more safer like underground hyperloop also hard to grant permission to build.

Man needs transportation development plans in order to address problems and suffering
Some travelers face problems searching for suitable taxis to transport passengers to the airport. Therefore, self-
driving cars must be designed and manufactured in order for travel and tourism companies to provide advanced
    services to travelers.
(Travelers need services to transport travelers from their homes directly to ships and planes for travel and tourism)
Relying on taxis will bring a lot of problems, fatigue and suffering, such as traffic accidents, road interruptions, traffic
congestion, travelers being late for their travel date and problems of transporting travelers to the required places due
to (the taxi) drivers not responding to the required places
Therefore, we ask officials and workers in engineering and manufacturing companies to work on the manufacture of
robotic planes and self-driving cars in order to develop the services of travel and tourism companies and address
    these problems and suffering mentioned
(Please Send these complaints, suffering and requests to officials and workers in the field of engineering and
manufacturing of aircraft and new cars)

“Home for Dinner”, but why wouldn’t you just take these kinds of meetings virtually? As incredibly cool as this technology and these concepts are I just don’t see the practical need for it to exist in the commercial space right now. It’s questionable if supersonic flight is even commercially viable let alone hypersonic. At some point in the future sure, but in the next decade…

    • Trevor L

      April 29, 2022 at 2:43 pm

Supersonic will be sold to billionaires and rented to millionaires. Look at all the 100mm plus yachts. They shouldn’t have any trouble selling supersonic planes.

    • Rich V

Absolutely not, just to build a super sonic aircraft cost hundreds of millions of dollars to fly hyper sonic will be far in excess of that.

Barring any take over by Elon Musk, I don’t see any of these as viable for at least another 40 years. There is a reason old technology like the internal combustion engine still reigns supreme in the era of Tesla. Electric batteries are still unreliable and inefficient in 2022, same applies to the jet engine.

    Not going to happen…

  46. Ionor Rea's Tragicomic Channel

    May 4, 2022 at 7:44 am

    There are a few issues:

    1. Hypersonics especially ones launching vertically will have likely quite uncomfortable G forces during acceleration, which may be perfectly viable for a fit jet fighter pilot but would be rather nasty for some senior businessmen with a weak hearts that will be among the most likely audience for flights in expected price category…

    2. There are very few routes where hypersonic civilian transport makes sense, not to mention the need to compete with upcoming supersonic airliners that are far more likely to materialize into the money-making business because this is something we already have a lot of experience with Concorde.

    3. How would you protect a country against a hypersonic 9/11 scenario? The US Air Force was not capable stop even subsonic airliners flying under the radar, so how would the military stop airliner flying twice as fast as current US medium to long-range AA missiles fired from jets with a quarter of the speed achievable by hypersonics and even that not for very long as for the maximum speed around Mach 2 even 5th gen jets needs to use afterburners that empty fuel tanks in something in the region of 10 minutes…
Even expected 6th gen air superiority jets will employ just a variation of a variable bypass ratio jet engines first tested on YF-22 and YF-23 during the end of the Cold War while even the upcoming SR-72, a Blackbird successor isn’t expected to be anywhere as fast as these civilian speed daemons.
Just think about it, which sane country will allow civilians control in their airspace something they hardly can stop if things go wrong with anything other than ballistic missile defense designed to stop lonely ballistic missile attacks at high altitude… Frankly, hypersonic civilian aviation looks like an absolute money pit from the perspective of stock investors similarly as was Elon’s idea to use his reusable space rockets as air taxis around the world.

  47. HaleDynamics

    May 4, 2022 at 5:14 pm

Hypersonic flight seems kinda unnecessary when supersonic would be so much more efficient. There has to be a point where you’re going so fast you’d be better off using a rocket and going into space for the lack of drag. Idk what speed that would be but mach 5 has to be close to it lol.

  48. Dennis Whitlock

    May 4, 2022 at 9:35 pm

Why this? Why not just [finish] the reverse engineering the on the UFO’s that we already have in captivity at ‘S-4 base’ in Nevada, according to Bob Lazar. They’ll fly much faster, with no pollution or noise, and you’ll arrive at your destination within ‘seconds’.
