This man is criminally underrated. (ha)
He’s so knowledgable, fantastic anecdotes, and understands that film is for entertainment and dramatizations are necessary.
Cannot wait for more technique critique!

When she smells the towel she says “chlorine”. The person who owned that robe must’ve been named Chlorine. And I think Chlorine liked to pee in the pool.

I’d love him to comment on The Fall. I thought these were some of the most pristine csi scenes ever and it was the first time that i saw such care being used to show that they don’t want to contaminate the scene, they had head to toe protective suits, masks and even some panels to step on so that they wouldn’t touch the floor and the main detective waited until everything was photographed and sampled before she even came in and while inside they tried not to touch anything even with gloves on. I do think there was a moment with a pen though 😀 but I might be misremembering it

The main theme of No Country for Old Men is growing old and no longer being able to understand the world. Everything Tommy Lee Jones was doing… was essentially indicative to his old style of policing in a small rural west Texas town where drugs and gun slayings weren’t all that common. Hence, the horses and sloppy forensics. He’s just a sheriff in a tiny little town, not a big city CSI badass.

Real silencers are nothing like what you hear in TV and movies. They do decrease the sound somewhat, but it’s still loud and noticeable to anyone in the area.
