U need a HUGE solid state drive or hard drive to use this because companies don’t want to shrink the size of the game …..

Sony will have to move to a subscription base but it’s not what you think. Because of what scalpers are doing buying buying out the console, the retail stores are getting stuck with all the accessories and physical copies. So the subscription would actually help alleviate that. Who would have thunk that scalpers would be affecting retail stores as well. The next time you go to a retail store, See all the pile of accessories and games that just literally sit there. So in other words scalpers are allowed to make money but but not retail stores? I kind of wonder if retail stores are going to rethink their strategy And how it affects game stores but I’m surprised that no one’s really talking about that issue. I can see that maybe it’s not important or people don’t care But in a big sense we still need retail stores despite how digital though our world is becoming. But yet Sony still allows you to still order the console online? And with the Xbox series x. This game generation is is going to go down for the exclusive people. And I can see so much greed from companies and people and ironically it just keeps piling on but yet that’s not being discussed either. I think the scalpers have basically exposed how unethical companies can be and we are seeing that exposure. But in a way I have to thank scalpers because they actually help me realize what’s more important And that video games are just games at the end of the day. But I never thought in my lifetime I would see greed this high.

    March 30, 2022 at 1:02 am

What a bonker. Sony should give current plus subscribers the ability to upgrade their current plus to plus extra. I know alot of ps owners here still have 1 or more years of plus remaining on their account. Getting the extra will completely make your current plus redundant and wasted.

    • hunterd78

      March 30, 2022 at 1:15 am

who says they won’t do something like that?

You can still keep the games if you unsubscribe from ps plus

  27. Michael Galligan

    March 30, 2022 at 3:20 am

If AAA games are completely moved to subscription service, I honestly think the games will be ruined. Companies will just throw out games in their most popular series and reap in the money while everyone complains about the game.

  28. Brandon McDowell

    March 30, 2022 at 3:39 am

Anyone know what happens if you have ps plus and ps now already? Do u sign up for one of the 3 new services and void your remaining time (I sign up for yearly memberships for ps now and ps plus) or will Sony take into account the fact that you’ve signed up for both of their online service offerings?

    • Gareth Colquhoun 🇬🇧 🇺🇸

      March 30, 2022 at 11:58 am

You should have gotten an email from Sony. In it they say You don’t need to do anything. As a current member of both services, we’ll automatically migrate you to a single subscription plan in the new, improved PlayStation Plus service – with a single recurring payment date and price – unless one or both of your memberships expire before the new service launches.

I love the future when i dont own any physical media. I don’t mind having this as an extra feature but hopefully these streaming/digital services won’t replace physical media as whole.

This new service it’s pretty cool but..with one lil problem I’m not too happy about and that’s the lack of iPad and mobile support.. unlike Xbox game pass you could play Xbox games on your iPads and even iPhones with a good network connection..🤷🏻‍♂️

    March 30, 2022 at 12:35 pm

I wonder since I’ve been an early PS+ adopter and got a lot of PSP, PS1 and on from their earlier free games be available as well

  40. Ed Raines

    March 30, 2022 at 1:21 pm

thanks, I just want to keep my basic service. I still haven’t played all the PS+ games I’ve claimed over the years because there just aren’t enough hours in the day.

Play has no limit but we can’t put ps3 disc into ps5

  42. Canada Raw

    March 30, 2022 at 3:52 pm

Physical is still much better by far. If there’s a day we can share, sell or trade digital games, that’s the day physical will most likely go away completely.

    • Shazeem Khan

      March 31, 2022 at 12:08 am

Dude I was just thinking this. Heck even if we can rent games like how some services offer renting of movies. Or we outright buy the game then we have the option to resell it digitally for a cresit which we can use to buy other digital games

    • Canada Raw

      March 31, 2022 at 12:20 am

@Shazeem Khan Having the option to rent them is a great idea.

    • Shazeem Khan

      March 31, 2022 at 1:14 am

@Canada Raw thank you. Because some games people like to keep, some games people complete & have no need or desire to play again

It’s not worth to talk about it’s no big deal it’s not like their competing against game pass not putting first party games makes me no interested when I see xbox game pass putting first games that’s what makes me want them playing old games isn’t my type I played them all no need to go play games I played in the past I promise xbox will get my money for digital games then PlayStation will ever get from me all I buy from PlayStation is classic games like Pac-Man arcade hits I played I know I like
