Price of iPhone SE sucks in India. If Apple would have used XR screen and iPad Air side mount fingerprint, sales would have skyrocketed.

I absolutely hate Touch ID. I’m not that young anymore & I live somewhere with cold winters, my fingerprints change with the slight hint of a northerly wind, just enough to screw with the sensors. The amount of times I had to reprogram my phone infuriated me. Now with FaceID it works all the time no problems. TouchID can swivel.

Great enthusiasm! I would love if Apple brought back Touch ID to the iPhone power button. That would get me to upgrade right away. The iPhone SE is nice but I want a more modern phone

I really REALLY miss touch ID!!!!! I hate face ID. It is the worst thing apple ever implemented on an iphone. As someone who is visually impaired, I find face ID an absolute nightmare!!! Touch ID was amazing from the start. I know I could just get an iphone SE, but then I would miss out on an OLED screen, which is just amazing for its brightness. I hope apple will one day bring touch ID back in some form, but I highly doubt it.

I used to upgrade phones every 2 years but… lately phones have been worth keeping longer.

I still use a 2018 Note 9 and a 2016 iPhone 7 (yeah, I use two phones) because they both still run all my apps snappy and do everything I need my phone to do.

Just pulled the trigger on the new SE, Everyone bashes on it but I’ve had every SE made. I’m just not ready to give up the home button or touch ID so while every other Tech person bashes the phone I hope they keep it around for many years. There is plenty of options out there for all the apple fans that want big huge phones with a notch but only one for us folks who want a small phone with touch ID.

I hate face id, Touch id could easily go under glass & get a bigger screen on same size phone, or & yes under glass can be as quick with the correct sensor.

I’m TouchID for life. I’m on iPhone SE and not on iPhone 13 precisely because I don’t trust FaceID. There might be less faces unlocking my phone than fingers that unlock it, but those faces are usually at home or at family events while fingers are evenly distributed on the planet. Besides, if two different fingerprints are requested, it’s a lot safer than FaceID.

I’m curious whether you wish to point out issues that are not really problems. If you need glasses why try and use your phone without them and complain that you can’t unlock your phone? I can unlock my iPhone 11 without my glasses and not have issues. Face ID is about 50 x greater for security than Touch ID. And if your finger/thumb has damaged skin including cracked skin, it fails to read it. People become so lazy that if they have to put any effort into something it become a nuisance. Raising your phone a little to unlock it???

I absolutely love Touch ID not just to unlock my phone also for purchase/Apple Pay and password logins and also Touch ID is faster than Face ID, I have the SE 2 and I might be getting the SE 3 soon because of 5G but also I would like to see Apple putting Touch ID the power button with new iPhones just like the iPad Air

TOUCH ID IS MUch better on face ID.

The iPhone SE is my favorite phone, forehead and chin and all. It’s a classic to me like Chuck Taylors or Levi 501 jeans. And as long as Apple keep provide an iPhone with touch ID, I’ll continue to buy it!

I’ve been using touch ID every since the iPhone 5, and really using it and the iPhone 6 for Apple Pay. The fact that I don’t have to look at my phone in order to make a payment or unlock it is what I like. To me you kind of submitting to your phone every time you have to look at it in order to unlock it.

Honestly, I really dislike the touch id because it does not work with slightly sweaty hands. It works faster than face id, but I can’t help my hands get sweaty due to hot weather in my country. So, for me face id is much better. If they are bringing it back, I hope it is as good as the ultrasonic one from Samsung, which is quite accurate even with sweaty hands.

Finger print scan is much better than face unlock. You can use someone’s full face photo to unlock their phone.

Face ID is stupid on a phone. Fingerprint scanner is much more reliable and consistent experience and it’s not as easy for others to open your phone without your permission. That’s why I like Android for this feature. Apple sometimes take stupid decisions just to stand out. I mean type c is still not available on iPhone.

I upgraded to iPhone SE because other iPhones don’t have touch ID. If Apple drops it totally, I think I will migrate to Android. I also have a Samsung with touch ID and Face ID, and taught me that Touch ID is still better.

Pls be advise that US Courts have ruled that you can be FORCED to unlock your phone using Touch ID but if you use a passcode they can TEY to force you to give them the code but you can’t really be forced to turn it over.

Face ID is the same as Touch ID

  38. Alexander Pérez

    March 22, 2022 at 5:39 pm

For me ‘Touch ID’ it’s the best unlike Face ID, which has never convinced me, Apple should have implemented it under the screen a long time ago and I think they aren’t convinced either.

I absolutely hate Face ID and it’s never worked for me. I wish Apple would just put Touch ID in the power button the iPhone already.

The biggest question is not when iphone will have touch id next to face id, it is when apple watch will have touch id built in! The freaking thing has no biometrics still at 7th iteration and you need to type 4digit passcode to a microscopic screen!

iPhone SE lacks a lot in battery so I bought the 13 mini.
FaceID? It doesn’t work when i used mask, it doesn’t work when i don’t use my glasses, it doesn’t work when i switch from glasses a to glasses b.
    Luv it.
