Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 decision protecting people’s right to have an abortion in the United States, will be overturned within a year, says reproductive rights attorney Kathryn Kolbert. In this electrifying call to action, she breaks down the systematic attack against reproductive freedom in the US and envisions what a post-Roe world could look like. “First, we’ve got to build a badass social justice movement,” she says.

They want her control over women’s bodies not affecting birth control, but power over women’s wages and positions in their workplace. It gives companies too much power over the lives of women who are at lower end and high pressure jobs where taking time off prohibiting advances.

The constitution NEVER protected the heinous act of murder that you call abortion. You invented legal nonsense out of thin air about the right to privacy and twisted that to somehow mean a right to abortion. Leave it to democrats to desperately demand the right to continue genocide and ignore the right to life of the most innocent among us.

Keep wearing those muzzles women. Truly this is the side that cares about you the most. Never mind they want you to end up childless, alone, and bitter. Feminism has produced the more depressed women than we have ever seen. You were “empowered” to leave everything that would make a woman happy and instead told to enjoy a mindless and thankless existence on the corporate ladder. Great job. Let’s see how that works out for you.

And for those that want to choose to be a mother and reject the evils of feminism, it was never about your right to choose, it was about their right to tell you what to choose.

  8. Robert Thomas

    December 8, 2021 at 9:16 pm

Who fights for the rights of all the dead children!? Perhaps the woman’s right to choose should be exercised by choosing birth control or adoption. Just like you complain that someone is taking away your right to choose, you would be taking away that child’s right to choose life. Do you see the hypocrisy of save the trees, whales, environment, etc., but kill the children? Black lives matter but children’s lives don’t!? Silly humans! A woman’s right to choose does not trump the right to life! Show some consistency of thought. If you stand for the rights of others but don’t stand for the rights of unborn children, you stand for nothing! This is a modern-day atrocity akin to that of what happened at Auschwitz.

I don’t know why she mentions religion. Religion has nothing to do here. You don’t have to be religious to know abortion is wrong.

    • Steve Muratore

      December 8, 2021 at 9:33 pm

It’s not about whether abortion is wrong. It’s about whether women are humans subject to protections of the US Constitution.

    • Fancy Forest Person

      December 8, 2021 at 9:33 pm

You also don’t have to be religious to know that leaving children to suffer in abusive homes, in foster care, and in state facilities is wrong. But look at us all go.
But hey, at least we can point out how bad abortion is, which makes us much better people.

Roe v wade uses the same legal reasoning as dred scott v Sanford and both are bad law,I think this nation is long overdue to acknowledge fetal personhood under the constitution cause Lincoln fought to abolish slavery even though the majority of the country then supported slavery and then trump came onto the stage in 2016 then pulled out all the stops and proved himself to be an amazing abortion abolishinist and continue the path of how abortion dehumanizes unborn life as slavery dehumanized slaves and both abortion and slavery are wrong

Banning abortion only bans it for the poor. Wealthy people can afford to travel if they need an abortion. Or, like you said, move to a state that is more in line with their politics. However, the most vulnerable among us, those whose lives would be completely derailed by an unwanted pregnancy, do not have the means to move themselves to a place with legal abortion, whether it’s a trip or a permanent move.

    • Isaac Raze

@KookyMiyuki That’s why I also said they’d have to vote to change there states political make-up if they can’t/”don’t want to” move. I’m just stating the facts about what one can do if Roe vs Wade is overturned.

    TILL 4:24
    * U are form DC (CRISTIAN DEMOCRACY= it means RPG ndu culu justice= go to jail or die)
    * It means all the women started and protected from Church (and they are all women or negro/the future mother of priest/housband who says go to church to get work till 4:24)
    * The legal site of Church is Rome, not US
    * When religious behaviours dimished, superstition increase (sacraments of the Devil, that is under God as agent to know ur pathos for the Lord…. and whose minister are in Rome, not white house)
    * Many kids are killed cuz in US Satanism is legalized (animals and human sacrifices= ask john ramirez, marilyn manson, beyonce and so on.. and i thing maybe 80% of people in tv)
    * That means that homicide is legalized/granted by constution (and i dont like US= fanatism)
    * That’s the reason why, many people with different culture/civil uses go to US
(There is nomore quarrel… cuz there is no low, like prostitution in Italy… worst, protected/granted)

    7:59 I KNOW WHERE U WANNA GO
    * Seems all women that have just get a baby born
    * A great thing is that in US women can marry a priest… better
    – They know what they are talking about= love
    – No theory, all practice
    * In Italy many says (like Canada scandals with people of Nawaho), but it is just logic.. as usual:
    – If u get pregnant, is for the continuing of priests (ereditary work from 1.000 after Christ)
    – If u break the ball… the kid will serve the church (no institution stay up with praying… ask john ramirez, Marilin Manson….)
    – If u break always the ball u will be like Set (make on pieces)
    – If u stay ok… they will make made u carrier under minister of the way of good/bad thieves (mafia rules)

Follow the money. End the legalized bribery that is our political system . We need lots of things… human rights, climate change, etc.. a constitutional amendment to regulate effectively how politics is funded would do wayyyy more to help this country than any other amendment. (not that we don’t need those, too). We don’t need the Congress to do it! States can do it …There is a way. for now. the window IS closing… Oh, if only we all could be politically active for the same cause instead of some over here and some over there….

She’s literally skirting the issue of fetal rights, and then she starts to rant about female rights. Female rights were an issue 30 years ago, when she was young. They’re no longer a major issue. You achieved what you aimed for, move on. Nobody is trying to “control” anybody. If they’re trying to control anything, it’s men, with all the modern “toxic masculinity” bullcrap. Anyway, the real issue is that she just didn’t discuss fetal rights, which WILL BE THE MAIN THING that will turn over Roe vs Wade, probably within the next couple of years. That’s a good thing, because life has a right to live, and with life I mean any fetus that could theoretically become a citizen of the United States. Abortion should be LEGAL, right up to the moment during pregnancy that modern medicine can take over and make sure it can actually live. That moment is after 4 to 5 months right now, but in the future, it will be 3 months, 2 months, etcetera. Roe vs Wade NEEDS to be overturned because it will become unconstitutional.

    • clocksforsale

      December 9, 2021 at 7:28 am

You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. In Australia, abortion is a state issue not federal. In NSW, for example, abortion was explicitly banned under s82 of the Crimes Act 1900 (NSW). Abortion in NSW legally took place only because the NSW District Court in R v Wald recognized the exception in the law that allowed abortion in instances where the mother’s life is at risk and read it to also include their mental wellbeing. It was only in 2019 that the NSW Parliament passed the Abortion Law Reform Act that revoked s82. The Americans who would like to see Roe v Wade overturned simply want each state to decide for themselves, like the Australian system.

    • Toni

      December 9, 2021 at 7:33 am

@clocksforsale How ofter are women stopped from having abortions in Australia? NEVER! The law has been ignored for decades. I’ll be very surprised if someone had to go interstate for an abortion in this country but if you did, you’d have got it no trouble at all. You are somehow right. What overturning Roe vs Wade does is to put the power to decide on this issue back into the peoples hands. In other words, this issue could be decided through legislation.
Consequently, some states would have stricter abortion laws, other would have the same laws.
It is important to understand that overturning Roe vs Wade and Casey is not about outlawing abortion, it is about whether to let the people decide on the issue.

WHY NOT WOMEN TOO? Have a baby you can’t afford go to jail and put the baby up for adoption.
Hopefully the father will ADOPT the baby because he will NEVER have to see the mother.
Why is it OK to force needles and masks onto HEALTHY INDIVIDUALS?
What about MY BODY, MY RIGHT?

If Republican manages to overturn Roe v Wade than this marked a great starting point for Conservative to re-concervativise America, just point out everything culturally left to be SJW and the public will follow along. Not hard, since the liberal can’t stop backstabbing themselves by holding to wokeness

      December 10, 2021 at 3:42 pm

@Val Davis yea, i don’t think the Democrat have enough backbone to fight for that, the midterm going to be a blood bath where Republican will take the house and the senate. Joe Biden failed in the build back better plan by watering it down.

P.s. this is coming from a leftist btw

    • Val Davis

      December 10, 2021 at 4:22 pm

@kestrel archer It won’t happen in the near future, but it’ll happen when more progressives are elected to congress. The majority of Americans support democratic policies, so they just need to elect more people like AOC and Omar, etc.

PS: I doubt you’re a leftist given your use of “SJW” and “wokeness.” Left leaning people realize that Biden’s agenda hasn’t passed because of Republican obstruction and Sinema and Manchin being bought off.

    • kestrel archer

      December 10, 2021 at 4:43 pm

@Val Davis I’m a leftist that vote for Bernie that prioritize economic policy over culture war issues. That’s the Hallmark of being leftist. The one that doesn’t mind SJW and wokeness are liberal.

I highly doubt justice democrat style of politician like the squad cdn succeed again given that they fail to defends the Build Back Better plan getting watered down.

    • Val Davis

      December 10, 2021 at 5:17 pm

@kestrel archer SJW is used as a pejorative to attack anyone who cares about issues like racism, sexism and bigotry. “Woke” is not even used by young people. Like SJW, it’s used as a pejorative to attack people for being aware of the way sexism and racism have influenced American politics.

And as I mentioned before, it’s not the Squad’s fault that BBB got watered down. Joe Manchin and Sinema are opposed to the bill because they’re paid off. With Republican obstruction and fake democrats like Manchin and Sinema, Democrats can’t pass anything. That’s why they need more people like AOC in both chambers to push forward the boldest legislation.

I thought people who did TED talks were usually more factually accurate? All this lady did was spew liberal talking points and was extremely inaccurate with most of what she’s saying. There wasn’t even any argument given about the supposed 3 things used by prolife groups against abortion. Just popular assumptions and opinions about what pro life groups do or think. She clearly has never spoken to a pro life group or person lol. She straight up lied about what’s in the Texas bill too. And if clinics offer SOOO many other healthcare services, why are they completely shutting down once abortions are banned? This was one of the most useless TED talks I’ve ever watched…

    • Master Sonogashira

      December 11, 2021 at 8:23 pm

@Mo. Ka. to a certain degree, yes. Absolute crime is an old concept, modern justice is build on the fact that all crimes are conditional and should consider the situation when it was committed. The debate is not over on when the cut-off is for abortion, but it is agreed upon by all developed country (aside from UK) that abortion based on social or economical reason is not morally wrong.

You need to know that Supreme Court of a country is never meant to be used to determine whether something is morally wrong, but a guideline to ruling and sentencing. Something like abortion ban, which deprive the freedom of individual, can only exist as a constitution, not some decision to be overturned years later.

This is why I found American law ridiculously flawed when it comes to constitution laws. Constitution is meant to be vague, then interpret and revise based on the contemporary climate. All laws restrict individual freedom to exchange for some collective security. Yet in your constitution it was clearly statement that individual freedom should be protected to the most extend. This is why even with all those gun violence your government never abandoned the second amendment. Yet deprivation of medical freedom seems to be okay. As a Canadian it’s really hard to see what exactly Americans consider as “law” vs “constitution”. It seems to me your justices just choose whatever suit their political benefit.

  56. Richard Teran

    December 10, 2021 at 1:53 pm

I 100% disagree with her stance, but at least she’s honest.
Although she presents her emotional position to her audience, she is a lawyer who has argued at SCOTUS, and understands that the Constitution in no way, actually includes some hidden right to abortion – so it will be overturned. She knows that the emotional approach, full of its lies and misrepresentations works fine with her audience and to a degree in the court of public opinion (supported by the Left leaning media and social media big tech) – but it can go nowhere in a real court like SCOTUS.

She KNOWS that state constitutions ALSO have no hidden “right” to abortion – so what is needed to have abortion in each state – requires a “social movement” that elects people to pass such laws. SCOTUS will no longer pass these laws for them.

    • Fancy Forest Person

      December 10, 2021 at 4:29 pm

Same with assisted suicide, death penalty, and self-defense laws. Some states do not even give you the right to defend your life with deadly force against a home invasion. Only 23 states adopted the castle doctrine. It’s unimaginable.
It’s terrible that people are subject to such whims, depending on where they live. Moving is difficult and expensive, and leaving family behind can be traumatic. But the message we all have to accept is move where you see fit. I prefer personal freedoms, and reside accordingly, but I couldn’t imagine having to move my entire life for personal rights. I wouldn’t want to live around the poverty and social problems that are caused by restrictions on individual right either though. It’s not just abortion we should be concerned with, it’s all laws that restrict our right to develop and live our life as we choose. It’s shocking how little some Americans value life in a free nation.

That’s not to be misconstrued as a pro-life stance. Bodily autonomy comes first, and nothing has a right to another’s body, under any circumstance. Call it a castle doctrine of the body. An intruder is not legally allowed to enter your home just because you left the door unlocked. In my state, you can kill someone’s for doing that.

    • Richard Teran

      December 10, 2021 at 5:28 pm

@Fancy Forest Person Most babies that are aborted are not uninvited intruders. In NO state, can you open your door and bring someone into your home – then kill them because you decided you don’t want them there afterall. – and THAT is how abortion is mostly used in this country.
If you want exeptions for rape (less than 1% of abortions) then I guess that might go along with your example of a castle doctrine of a woman’s body.

    • Fancy Forest Person

      December 10, 2021 at 5:44 pm

@Richard Teran I very much disagree. If a woman doesn’t want a baby in her body, it’s an unwanted intruder. We have to consider cases of failed contraception too. And instances of fetal deformities. It doesn’t make any sense to force pregnancy in any circumstance though. The world needs wanted children, because pro-lifers are not out there fostering the unwanted. I volunteer in that system. It changes a person.

    • Richard Teran

      December 10, 2021 at 7:23 pm

@Fancy Forest Person If you volunteer in that system, then you are fully aware that effectively 100% of children placed for adoption at the time of deciding on abortion (while pregnant) – get several families FIGHTING OVER THEM.
The women who don’t want to raise a child – do not have abortion as their only option. They can place the child up for adoption while pregnant.
They are choosing between “Stretch Marks vs Kill The Baby”. That’s what it comes down to.

    • Jason_c_o

      December 11, 2021 at 6:01 am

@Richard Teran Imagine trying to conceive for over a year. Then, finally, you see that little plus. You wait, take another test, and when it’s positive you can’t wait to tell everyone. You buy the clothes, you paint the room… 6 months in and you’re at a regular checkup, but your doctor comes into the room with a poorly hidden frown. They tell you there’s a complication and that, if you don’t abort the pregnancy, it’s very likely you’ll both die. Now make that choice.

    • Val Davis

      December 11, 2021 at 8:02 am

It’s all about whether or not you respect a woman’s right to autonomy. It’s her choice whether to proceed with a pregnancy or not.

    • Richard Teran

      December 11, 2021 at 2:56 pm

@Val Davis “Autonomy” does not included stealing other peoples’ stuff, or harming other people. The debate is whether or not a woman’s “autonomy” reaches to the point of killing her offspring. Some people think it should and some people don’t.
It is NOT a simple thing – but the issue right now is whether or not the Constitution says anything about it – and it does not, according to all serious Constitutional students.
Overturning Roe does not make abortion illegal – it places it in the hands of each state. So, if you live in a state where the majority of people feel one way about it, it will go that way in that state.

    • Richard Teran

      December 11, 2021 at 3:02 pm

@Jason_c_o What is your point? I have MANY pro-life friends and have NEVER met one who would insist that a woman in that position must keep her baby.
Using that example to justify recreational abortion would be silly though – so I’m sure that’s not what you’re trying to do.
So what IS your point with that example?

The argument i haven’t heard is the one of ownership. Technically, the material used to create a baby is 1/2 owned by the male donor, the other 1/2 by the female. However, by combining these two ‘investments’ or ‘donations’, a new human entity is created at conception, owned by no one but the baby itself since the materials (sperm and egg) were (in most cases) voluntarily given. By law, a human entity in the US has rights and cannot be summarily executed, the essence of abortion. The real question is one of hosting accomodations provided by the female during pregnancy and then any other adult guardian without which the baby human cannot survive. Rightful compensation by the male donor is reasonable up until such time an adult can be procured as a guardian. Terminating this accomodation by anyone at anytime during the baby’s existence until 18 is unlawful.

Have any in the pro abortion crowd aware that since Roe vs Wade there have been 52,000,000 babies killed? Thats govt sponsored murder btw. That puts the usa right up there with Stalin, Hitler, and Mao. If Roe was eliminated, it would be up to each state to decide, which is exactly how it should have been. Roe v Wade is being dismantled because it was bad law.

The radical abortion lover in this video talks about how ugly things will be without Roe v Wade, but she conveniently leaves out the ugliness of abortion; the shredded bodies of unborn innocent human beings who never did anything to deserve being shredded into “medical waste”.
Abortion proponents are evil, twisted, and deplorable.

    • Val Davis

      December 12, 2021 at 9:27 am

“Evil, twisted, and deplorable” are adjectives that apply to uneducated and brainwashed Trumpanzees.

By the way, Roe was decided 7-2 on a Supreme Court that included 5 Republicans. It’s not like it barely got a 5-4 decision like it will be when it’s overturned.

Just remember, too, that 4 of the conservative justices that vote to overturn Roe barely got appointed to the Supreme Court. Not one Democrat voted for ACB, one Democrat voted for Kavanaugh, two voted for Gorsuch, and Thomas only got 52 votes as well.

When Roe is overturned, it’ll just give even greater incentive to the Democrats to expand the Supreme Court and entire federal judiciary.

    • Val Davis

      December 13, 2021 at 2:17 am

Roe was decided 7-2 and there’s a reason why it’s stood for 50 years. It’s because the court was ideologically balanced. There’s a reason why it’s likely to be overturned now, and that’s because McConnell blocked Obama’s pick Garland from joining the court in 2016, nuked the filibuster for Supreme Court picks to allow Gorsuch and Kavanaugh to join the bench, and then in brazen hypocrisy, pushed through ACB 3 weeks before the election.

ACB, Kavanaugh, and Gorsuch received a combined THREE votes from the Democrats. Compare that to Antonin Scalia with 98 votes and RBG with 93 votes.

There’s no legitimacy to the Supreme Court now, and even the lower courts are illegitimate considering how many unqualifies judges were appointed during Trump’s term.

Roe is gone, but that’s going to galvanize Democrats to expand the Supreme Court and restore it once they have the votes to do so.

@Val Davis The Judiciary does not become illegitimate simply because of who appoints who and how narrowly their appointed. Biden is appointing a lot of lower court positions in his first year yet he keeps having his butt handed to him ruling after ruling. You had plenty of chances to avoid this situation. Ginsburg could have swallowed her pride and listened to Obama and not wait for Hillary to retire. Hillary could have been a better candidate and win. Nothing however changes that Roe was bad law and the Supreme Court was the wrong venue for the pro choice movement to go too. They talk about government should not meddle with their reproductive rights while entrusting them to a body of 9 persons that could easily sway due to changing times or changing appointments. This day was inevitable from the moment Roe was decided.

Fetuses are not babies, They don’t have thought’s, feelings or emotions and are not able to develop consciousness until 24 -25 weeks into pregnancy so It doesn’t matter if you kill it.

PLEASE somebody point to the constitution and show me where it says ” Women have the right to abortion” ??
I mean i cant even put certain substances in my body unless I get a prescription from a doctor and it requires me to meet certain qualifications so dont try to say theres a “right to medical privacy”

Who cares if it isn’t specifically written in the constitution? Roe was decided 7-2 and has stood for 50 years. The only reason it’s under threat now is because McConnell nuked the filibuster for Supreme Court picks to appoint extremist Republican justices.

Funny how all these courts, governments and religious folks only go after women’s bodies to assert control and power. Why don’t they impose mandatory vasectomy ( which can be opted to be reversible anytime) on the men instead? That would be far less damaging to anyone’s life instead of what’s being done to women. Although I’m pretty sure if these mandatory vasectomies happened, a lot of men would whine and go “woe is me! My human rights and bodily autonomy are being violated”. Also ironic how it’s a lot of white officials who are imposing these abortion restrictions ( especially considering how whites are now turning into a minority and losing their racial privilege quickly as more people become socially and politically aware)

ALSO take note that when it comes to the general population the courts and governments and these right wingers want to preach about how women should not abort their pregnancy but when it comes to people of colour and even more so when it’s native indigenous tribes, there are forced abortions, sterilizations and poor medical care meted out to the women of these communities. Hypocritical bullshit much?

It’s sexist BS. I totally agree that it’s hypocritical. The way to fix this though is to get enough progressives in Congress, nuke the legislative filibuster and expand the entire judiciary with liberal justices.

How about people can decide whether to abort or not and whether to take the vaccine or not and they can defend themselves with a semi auto rifle or not?

Abortion is killing unborn babies. Period.

Good that they will limit the murder of innocent little babies in the womb! This woman annoyed me after 10 seconds. She doesn’t have any arguments in favor of abortion based on logics.

I’m pro life but I do think you should only get to abort in cases of rape or death due to pregnancy. I can’t express how evil it is to kill a fetus just because you didn’t want to be a parent. The images of what an abortion looks like is disgusting. Makes me feel weak

No one has the right to kill a person. It has nothing to do with women’s rights. You don’t have the right to kill. You left want to protect and save everything. Save the trees, save the whales, save the earth, save people. But you think you have the right to kill babies by the millions. All women who request an abortion should be forced to see their ultrasound and hear the heartbeat. That life is not yours to take.
