What a waste of electricity and probably money.

It’s not a waste if you actually need a lamp and phone charger. This one just so happens to also do a neat trick.

Oh yeah, well you’re a waste of electricity and probably money. Take that internet stranger who I only slightly disagree with. Boom, roasted.

@Desu VR It is a waste, because wireless connections use more electricity. I’m not telling you not to buy one, but it’s a trick gadget, and that trick does cost you something.

So instead of figuring out how to make the world a better place we figured out how to make a lightbulb float? Sounds good to me

So instead of figuring out how to make the world a better place you’re watching videos on youtube? You can use this argument for anything, there is always something better you can do.

    • 𝓝𝓸𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓮𝓭𝓸𝓶𝓼

      October 9, 2021 at 1:31 pm

@PoppiPuff oh I don’t care if the world is not a better place. Also you are correct I am ashamed of spending to much time on YouTube.

People in the comments complaining about a novelty light, typing furiously on their new phones that they replace yearly for the newest model. Myself I love magnetic levitation toys like this. So much better that the bulb is functional too.

What’s the point of your comment? How do you know the people complaining about this have “new phones that they replace yearly for the latest model”? Seems to be a judgement without any basis in fact.

Even if it were true, while I think these items are fascinating, I think a person who spends money on a upgrade of a tool they use most in their life makes more sense than potentially dropping a lot of money on a gimmicky gift shop item.

You can probably do every computing task you need for daily life on a phone that costs about the same as this lamp.

So what happens to the bulb if the lights go out.?

  8. Dave Silver

    October 7, 2021 at 9:46 pm

So what happens to the bulb when the power goes out?

    • Shane

      October 8, 2021 at 6:06 am

Uses Magnets not electromagnets the light shuts off the bulb keeps floating.

i had an idea for cars that needed very little power they would float on roads with magnets and push them selfs along with magnets and some solar panels could move the magnets makes sense? great

    • El Gallo De Oro

      October 8, 2021 at 8:46 am

While it works for these small everyday items. It would not be possible to do the same with cars, at least not at the moment technology wise.

    • Bigboikilljoy

      October 8, 2021 at 1:32 pm

@El Gallo De Oro ik it would kinda be hard to cover the planet with roads cars could float on

    • I

      October 9, 2021 at 12:23 am

it would require quite some energy because you would need to turn the electro magnets on and off in a way that stabilizes the car… otherwise your car would bounce around as if jt was on an airhockey table :p

Maglev trains on the other hand use this concept already and can’t move left or right because they are on a rail 😉

    • Bigboikilljoy

      October 9, 2021 at 12:39 am

@I i dont see the issue with bouncing around like its an air hockey table
