In my fabuled memories, the comment section used to be full of interesting takes, opinions, commentaries on the content that could bring the discussion further. Now it’s only memes and 5 times the same joke. Don’t get me wrong, I love memes, but this feels barren and got old fast. by posting this I am not increasing the quality of comments by any stretch, I know that, but wanted to share my frustration.

if dimensions are just directions we can travel, we have 3 directions in which we can travel through physical space and we have directional time, the only other dimension i can think of is… magnitude? like i can move a camera forward/backward, left/right, up/down, or i can zoom in/out.

That kid was hella smart, I love him
埼玉Saitama
October 25, 2019 at 2:42 pm
The responses to his questions were slightly scripted in the first couple interviews – particularly the first one w the kid. The direction and consistency of the glances plus the camera cuts followed by a realisation ( “So things have to be one dimensional and two dimensional to be 3D…” ) give it away. Enjoyed it though, was interesting even if the illusion of unprocessed thought was ruined.

while Ken Wheeler and his monistic cosmology is laughing on this stupid crackhead brofessor that has no idea what space is. And more precisely what space isn’t. Tesla would be facepalming hard with the degeneracy of physicists.

Honestly I would even argue that “unit” is even a better way to put it than “number” since numbers are basically titles we humans give to quantify perceivable things that are.
