I thought about animal frame rate a few weeks ago once I upgraded my computer FPS. I keep tarantulas and wondered how they compute movements so quick, deciding which way to move in such short time. Is the same as having 120 FPS in a game. The more frame the more of myself I can input into a games movement.

Wow! I got emotional! This is such a beautiful perspective—Also, watch Intelligent Trees, it further explains this symbiotic relationship between trees and mycelium, its true cooperation at its best, and Susan Simard, who has been studying this phenomenon for decades, expresses it in a way that you understand the essence of this significant observation. It truly is something else! I would love to hear what stood out to you! PEACE 💚✌️

Thank you very much for explaining the effort and tricks for making those timelapse. I love timelapse videos and tried it several times with some plants, clouds and fire (with infrared pass filter). I know the problems for making a good video and was shocked by those timelapse like yours or in BBC Planet Earth movies. I could’nt believe the captures are real maybe computer animated or the plants grew in a lab but I wondered about the background, did they build the lab in dschungle around the plants?? I had self-doubt about my inability but now you told the truth about the effort and making of perfect timelapse. Thank you for the inspiration!

7:00 So well put. Ive always thought this and thankfully someone other than myself has articulated it publicly. We are stuck in our own POV when yes there are many others. Whats going to happen when real aliens drop? Everything we have is based on our own limited imagination. As they say. Real life is stranger than fiction. Because we are not all that. Thats why.

I like watch mushrooms and mossy things grow, feels like atching bread be baked. also very inspiring, to pay atention to small details or things that may be the less appealing thing if you see it just in a fraction of time, but a timelapse show a beautiful dynamic perspective.

Late last week, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission chair Gary Gensler said that he was “proud to serve” the agency, which some are taking as a hint at an upcoming resignation. Gensler has faced heavy criticism for his crackdown on crypto, including a recent lawsuit from 18 states, and is likely to be replaced under President-Elect Donald Trump who has vowed to oust Gensler. On Tuesday, the Wall Street Journal reported that Trump is meeting with Brian Armstrong, the CEO of crypto exchange Coinbase, to discuss potential personnel appointments.

This episode of Equity brings you an interview between Rebecca Bellan and co-founder and CSO of blockchain analysis firm Chainalysis, Jonathan Levin. The pair caught up at our Strictly VC event in New York shortly before the Gary Gensler news dropped to discuss the imminent change for crypto in the wake of the US election and Chainalysis’s choice to run its operations in the US.

Equity is a show about the business of startups, where we unpack the numbers and nuance behind the headlines. New episodes drop every Wednesday and Friday. Subscribe wherever you get your podcasts.
