What a thumping hard way to land. Why not land the whole yoyo in 1 piece?

The capsule releases pressured air just before it touches the ground to help achieve a soft landing. This is why so much dust is kicked up, not a hard impact.

The way it cuts out with static right as they’re landing was just perfect.

7:43 Yep, in this part the lander looks totally CGI. Don’t understand how nobody else seems to notice …

Bezo’s blah blah blah. the exciting part is all the pieces of the rocket landing and ready for reuse on land.

Nasa is Sci Fi for adults. Sorry kids, there’s a firmament, and men can’t get through it. The Good Lord put it there himself.
If we really went to the moon, why are parading around a guy who barely made it to lower Earth orbit? Why don’t they just go back to the moon? Surely our technological advancement should make it much easier than it was in the 60s.

When my daughter was born, I asked my wife if she thought she would ever go to space. I don’t know what the future holds, and I don’t consider billionaires to be representative of the common man. But I think her future looks bright.

Oh they call them astronauts. Isn’t that cute. If I drive my car real fast can I call myself a nascar driver?

Webster’s definition of an astronaut is, ” A person who is trained to travel in a spacecraft ” They all went through training to travel in that spacecraft , and they went to space .. so…..

Anyone know why the exhaust flames coming off that during launch and right after, seem so much smaller and more subdued than on so many other past rocket designs?
Phil Hofman
July 21, 2021 at 12:51 am
I think this is an extremely lighter rocket than most. In only serves one short purpose and doesn’t have to achieve the speeds needed for orbit. It only got up above Mach 3.
Robert Jensen
July 21, 2021 at 1:06 am
@Phil Hofman Thanks for the tip. That makes sense. Since Blue Origin is making these vehicles only for suborbital space tourism. Their objective is to reach that edge of space, have short flights up and down, and rake in a ton of cash in a short period.
In other words, a completely different business model than what Elon Musk is doing.
And since Musk’s vehicles have to go much faster, and further, to reach into earth orbit and beyond, his rockets need much more thrust, and thus will produce much greater exhaust flames. OK.

Maybe they didn’t film because Besos wasn’t inside the rocket ? I mean think about it, space travel, rocket launches are extremely dangerous and many things can go wrong. You can’t place the wealthiest man in that position. If something wen wrong, boom that’s it, all his wealth couldn’t save him from that.
I doubt a billionaire like Jeff would put himself in that position, and on top of that he’d probably be very scared of accumulating so much wealth only to die in space.
Wouldn’t be surprised if he wasn’t on the ship.

So it goes straight up and straight down? That’s not space travel, it’s a very expensive carnival ride. Not even close to escape velocity. Forget the flatards commenting on here, how about the dummy’s that think these people are actual astronauts.
