    Incredible video ! !
It’s always a little stressful seeing a hobby you know a lot about be de-constructed like this for people outside of it to understand because it’s really hard to properly convey the uniqueness of it all a lot of the times, but Padrace did a great job, as well as you guys up at WIRED!
I’m really happy that I’m able to see this at such a great production value! 😍

Good job making a good color contrast between hand and shirt, but the pen should be also in contrast with both the shirt and the hand. Black pen on black shirt is a huge rookie mistake for an explanatory video.

Any good recommendations for heavier pens? I love this concept, I do the thumb around and wiper during lectures every day, but can’t do many of the others because they’re so light and any movement can just send it flying out of my hand

Who was the genius who decided to film a black pen in front of a person wearing a dark shirt? All you can really see is his hand, no pen, especially on a tiny window on Wired’s website.

I have been spinning pens since I was in college in Korea in the 80’s. I will confess that I was unaware of most of the spins that you can do. I only do four. That said, three of the four that I do you did not cover. Not to disparage your considerable skills at all, but those done with the light pen are more like using a majorette’s baton rather than a writing pen. At any rate, you have provided me with enough material to keep me busy for a while!
