Dang, he didn’t show off the Projector Pumpkin style, where you carve open the back and an image shows up on the wall. Combine with the other methods here and you get to use all sides of the pumpkin to create something both flat and with depth.

there’s something so amazing about people who specialise in intentionally temporary art, they don’t strive for immortality through their art, you have to admire it in the moment and then it’s just your memory of it. I really admire that, I wouldn’t be able to say goodbye to something that took days to make unless it was a kid, that kid ain’t mine Brittney and you know it.

Repent of your sins and believe the gospel of Jesus Christ he is God in the flesh and he will judge all of mankind but he died on the cross and resurrected for you, if you trust in what he did for you, you will be saved, you cannot be saved by your own works, only by what he did, call on his name he loves you and will forgive all you’ve done wrong, he will give you a new heart, new spirit, and whole life and relationship with him don’t wait God bless you I hope you’re doing well <3 <3 <3

It‘s crazy how accurate this evolution is for me!
I personally enjoy pumpkin carving a lot 😊 every year I‘m trying to do something new and get better.
My evolution over the years started (obviously) at level 1, then jumped to level 3 and after that level 6 (where I also started painting the pumpkin).
Currently I‘m at level 7, because I carved a 3D sculpure this year for the first time. I don‘t think it‘s perfect but I‘m still very happy with it ☺️

This video gives me a lot of inspiration for my next pumpkins. I hope to get to level 13 soon.
However Halloween is just one day in the year, which doesn‘t give much time to practice…

1 Thessalonians 5:23 – And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    Philippians 4:13
    – I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

    2 Timothy 1:7
    – For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

I don’t know who thought pumpkin carving would be relaxing or fun. I chop up onions with a sense of impending doom. If it is any bigger than an onion, forget it. It is getting steamed first. I buy canned pumpkin for a reason. It is easier to eat it that way.

    October 30, 2021 at 7:16 pm

This was a pretty interesting video. I always wanted to try my hand at pumpkin carving but I tried a few times when I was younger and they just came out looking horrible. I mean, I guess it’s just like anything else, practice makes perfect. They’re just too expensive for me to waste keep trying on. But I think this year, I’ll go around and collect all the pumpkins that my neighbors are throwing out and practice on them for now.

  115. William Brall

    October 31, 2021 at 12:20 am

Everything after level 6 betrays the essence of a jack-o-lantern. Those aren’t new levels, that’s doing standard 3D carving only using a pumpkin. I want to see level 6 expanded on. Achieve more and more detail with the light. The whole point of a jack-o-lantern is to be a _lantern._

Me thinking “how does it get better after level 4?” LOL!! This is really cool! You REALLY need to have imagination, creativity and the talent to see in your head what you want and then have the ability to transform it into reality ON, AND INSIDE, A PUMPKIN!! It’s the imagination and the ability for the transformation that I KNOW I lack in! Helk! I’m lucky if I can make it look decent in level 2! 🤣🤣

Level 14: using a projector to display still images onto your pumpkin.
Level 15: using 3D animation to custom map & animate effects onto your pumpkin with a projector like: slight expanding and contacting shadows to mimic breathing. Mapping exactly where the eyes are, and animating jittering eyes – things you couldn’t necessarily do with servos.
Level 16: creating an AI algorithm to auto-generate it’s own designs and animations to then display via projector onto the pumpkin. You’d of course have to first capture a 3D model of the pumpkin with a LIDAR to 3D model software via scanner/iPhone.

This guy clearly says that pumpkin is not an ideal material to create this kind of fine art. And even if you manage to create some with sophisticated tools it will rot away in days.
