    • @ramonparada

      December 6, 2024 at 4:17 pm

The US forces all social networks to move to the US and as Elon Musk literally said they work for the US. So EU’s biggest threat is the US

Is your brain still functional to differentiate internet services from physical goods? Algorithm is hard to defend if it’s hostile and that’s really the key point for the sale, and their ceo lied about not sending data back to China, it’s an easy decision

  4. @batosato

    December 6, 2024 at 6:21 pm

The US firms failed to innovate in algorithm development, so they are now forcing other nations to sell their IP. How is this justice?

If you can’t compete, ban it???? It’s sad to see America moving away from a free-market economy and towards an oligarchic system. It’s a worrying sign that the US is failing to succeed in this area. What he calls “security” is Erdogan rhetoric. It’s a worrying sign that the US is failing to succeed in this area. Technology is not going to wait for US.

    • @torpedohost

      December 7, 2024 at 12:03 am

  18. @JeetAviya

    December 8, 2024 at 6:17 am

India is the first country in the world to ban TikTok. Because children are not interested in studying. Now I think that all the social media rules of the app are not understood. Social media companies are worried about job opportunities. There are no rules for social media companies. ???????? Children can damage people’s brains. Children should be careful. Children grow angry. Children become angry. They are texting their children online, they are attacking them a lot. They are creating new accounts.

Venture firms are turning to creators to build trust with the next generation of founders before a check is ever written. It’s a trend that’s been building with a16z’s acquisition of Erik Torenberg’s Turpentine podcast and OpenAI’s acquisition of TBPN. On this episode of TechCrunch’s Equity podcast, Dominic-Madori Davis is joined by Zau and Machiz to dive deep into whether the “creator-investor” is becoming a real function in venture or just something firms are still trying to figure out.
