Uhhhh…. Is there a SINGLE generation that had it BETTER than boomers?….

Gen X, Millennials, Gen Z, Gen A, Silent generation all had it worse.

“the greatest generation” grew up with booming growth just to hit the Great Depression and be thrown to the meat grinder in two world wars so they weren’t better.

Boomers are entitled A holes who had everything easier than everyone ever.

Price increases are nothing new. They happen almost every year, especially with mandated minimum wage increases in certain cities/States.

If it’s only in “certain cities/States”, why are prices up NATIONALLY? Even though the minimum wage has unchanged since 2009.

Except minimum wage increases are lagging price increases and it’s not even close.

Guys, this person isn’t serious. they’re just giving a canned response that doesn’t require them to think about the issue. It’s just classic boomering. They can’t accept they’ve made the world so much harder for others.

“There WERE so many different structures…” ( *not* there’s = there is).  Plural verb with plural subject.  Basic English!

You’re reading the automated subtitles my guy. He didn’t write that. It’s going off what the computer can hear. It’s fun how you want to dismiss a coherent point so quickly.

      Basic computers!

There is a tremendous difference between a “Boomer” born in 1947 and one born in 1964. It’s a cheap, polarizing term.

Guess why all that happened. China happened and to a lesser degree other developing countries. The US standard of living is going down at the same rate it is going up in China and India. We transferred all those union jobs over there for cheaper labor and looser regulations so companies can get richer.

The issue is we talk about housing as a “wealth generating asset”, when it should be no more than a means of stabilizing your housing cost burden as you age. We don’t want to sell our houses for a profit. We want to live in them so we aren’t homeless when rent is 50k a month when we retire

As a boomer I would NEVER say that younger people just need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. I think the situation is completely sh*tty.

Generation Jones had to buy more expensive houses because the sheer number of Boomers caused housing prices to rise. What’s different now is that the ultra wealthy have all the money. The wealthy were less wealthy back then.

what about millenials? seems everyone has forgotten us. We were the first generation with these problems. We’ve been burdened with college debt for degrees that have proven useless and unable to afford houses or even the basics with the wages of today. On top of that, we’re constantly told by the boomers that this is all somehow our own fault and that we just need to spend the bare minimum on the essentials and put everything left in a savings account that we should never touch in case of an emergency, and then don’t use it even in an emergency and just figure out another solution.

Active duty military officership is still a viable means of gathering wealth. Less than 20 years will net you WELL over $1 MILLION in monetary assets.
