UPDATE: Microsoft has officially announced the price of the Xbox Series X will be $499. As of posting this, they have also confirmed that the monthly All Access prices will be $25 per month for Xbox Series S and $35 a month for Xbox Series X.

CORRECTION: The Captain America clip at 2:08 was incorrectly labeled as “Civil War (2016)” when it’s from “The Winter Soldier (2014).”

This video has also been edited to remove a line mentioning an additional cost for Xbox Game Pass w/ All Access. At the time of recording this video, the monthly pricing structure had not been confirmed by Microsoft.

You might want to repost the video considering all these mistakes… and take out the fact that it will be $45 or $50 a month… The $25 and $35 subscription prices include game pass ultimate and the console

So if you have disc games on your Xbox One will you be forced to buy the 500 $ xbox or have to buy all your games again?

The same names & similar looks is so dumb and will hurt them eventually confusing customers how many parents are going to get their kids a xbox one s by accident instead of a xbox series s

If I get anything is will be a PS5. Microsoft has been doing a great job getting our Xbox titles out on PC. Sony on the other hand has been terrible about getting Playstation games on the PC. Nintendo is still my go-to console because of the exclusives and Sony is a close second.

This $300 console costs $477 in my country which is absolutely unfortunate.

  10. Ali Magdy

    September 9, 2020 at 9:56 pm

Sony can kill it if they priced their PS5 at $400.
People who were aiming at the S will just pay the extra $100 for all the features of the X. And people who are aiming at the X will think the PS is cheaper yet has the same features. So the PS will kill both consoles.

The landscape of games has changed, but it’s not one that many of us like. These unfinished games as service online only social media fueled microtransaction shells are not fun to play. I would rather buy a console and buy a copy of bloodborne than pay monthly installments for incomplete games with tons of microtransactions.

Sony is gonna copy Xbox and make a 299 dollar console. Hey it’s annoying but smart at the same time if they do

Not going to lie, Xbox series S has caught my expectations
    Cheap and cheerful 😁
Now I’m really really interested thinking getting one as launched day , but unfortunate
the only thing still holding me back a tiny is what’s Xbox series S or X has to offer on theirs exclusive game’s ?
PlayStation always seems to have the upper hands on exclusive games some ways..
Hope time will tell … Please Xbox win this one out..

What’s the point of the game pass if Microsoft got no games at launch even if you get a cheap console you won’t even be playing anything good for a good year or two

Definitely a solid strategy from MS. I’m thinking of getting the series S then once the Series Z or whatever the mid generation upgrade is I’ll get that. Partly because I have an old AV receiver which doesn’t support 4K. I’d rather have great sound and solid visuals than wack sound…down the line will upgrade to an 8k receiver for surround sound. Can anyone convince me why I shouldn’t do that?

Fun fact : Xbox series S GPU is weaker than Xbox one X GPU.

    Here is why :

Base on my calculation, 4 Tflops 1280 CU and 224gb/S memory bandwidth make series S GPU is weaker than Xbox one X GPU and RX 5500xt. Even with rdna 2.0 IPC gain, it is still weaker than Xbox one X. Series GPU sit below RX 580, i do multiple calculation and the result still same.
In conclusion , series S won’t able to play Xbox one games with ONE X mode graphics settings and only able to play Xbox one orginal graphics(without one X enhancement). Series S is really really direct successor of Xbox one/S. Not to replace Xbox one X.

Let’s say i get this and my friend have an xbox one. Will we be able to play and talk to each other in a party?

  30. Mark Gilroy

    September 10, 2020 at 2:22 pm

Sony will probably respond by releasing even more exclusive games on their consoles. People forget sometimes that’s it’s the games themselves that are the draw….I know plenty of previously die-hard Xbox fans who are still jumping ship when the new consoles release because they’ve not been able to play the games they want on Xbox One.

  40. Mubashar Abrar

    September 10, 2020 at 7:10 pm

But the thing is, even at this amount of money there are no good exclusives from Xbox to play. It seems appealing to get a cheaper monthly installment console but… Games.

  41. Edwin Gamboa

    September 10, 2020 at 7:39 pm

What concerns me is that due to exchange rates, the “cheaper” Xbox is over 8,000 pesos in Mexico and the Series X is over 14,000, I make that amount of money in a month! What does it mean for regular people who don’t want to pay 14k for a console? Settling for the less expensive one, and you can kiss all your non-digital games goodbye. Like I’ve actually invested cash in them and would like to continue to play them, how’s the all digital xbox gonna work for me?

They are learning from their mistake of xbox one launch

  43. David Duarte

    September 10, 2020 at 9:33 pm

In my opinion, I am not interested in anything that is just digital because you cannot share games and you cannot buy used games. In a future, good games cost a lot.
