DON’T say “might” because Apple must reveal this laptop. If not, I have saved for nothing…

It better have an M3 chip

    • Jordi van Selm

      May 15, 2023 at 10:54 am

@Gama I guess they will just leave it a M2. I hope the ssd speed is better than the M2 MacBook Air

@Jordi van Selm they will reveal it in wwdc, think about their recent announcement of Final cut coming to iPad , they could have revealed it in WWDC but it seems WWDC is going to be full of surprises and that’s why they going to delay M3 Macbooks until end of this year.

@Jordi van Selm you haven’t necessarily saved for nothing. You can get a 16 inch Pro if you want a bigger screen

I would like to request CNET to stop covering leaks content cause there are literally a gizzillion channels out there doing it and even a little more regular.
we’d rather like to see tech documentaries and videos on the tech landscape

15 or 13 inch MacBook Air with pro 120hz display with m3, I’m buying it .

    • David Jacobs

      May 15, 2023 at 10:13 am

It won’t have 120hz as it is not a Pro model. Also,it won’t have the M3 chip,at least not this year anyway.

טים אפל תוציא מקבוק 16.4 במיוחד לעורכי וידאו ומוסיקה במקום 16.2 בקילר רעיון. עם רמקולים גדולים יותר ופד גדול יותר באותו מחיר.

Talking about inch.. After M2 chip, where are the new big Apple inventions ???

Please apple release MacBook in 16 inch with Miniled or Micro-led with pricing under 1500 $

When you start adding decent ram + decent storage the 15 inch air will most likely be a 2000+ dollar laptop.
M2 13 inch macbook air customized with 16gig of ram and 1TB of storage is 1800 bucks.

FINALLY!…Apple is realizing that a 15″ MacBook Air will be both more appealing and portable to the majority of laptop users along with the HUGE benefit of more battery life!

MacBook air 15” better have the M3 if not there is no point on upgrading

Will we ever see a 12” MacBook again? – loved that size and still using mine although need a new one sometime soon

Might be worth getting but only if it has MagSafe and HDMI 4K and allowing audio pass through.

    Why don’t they do a 14. 5 instead?

Great job covering the previous laptops and those sizes. I’m sure many viewers here were not aware of the extensive history and different sizes. IMO, the 15″ sounds like a great idea but the price will probably be terrifying. Am I wrong? I am also curious about the color options. Not sure about the rest of you but I am so tired of Silver and Space Grey

Give me an 11-inch MacBook whatever with apple silicon and Count Me In

What will they think of next.

  20. Jason

    May 15, 2023 at 2:09 pm

When you contradict why apple doesn’t make a 15’ MacBook Air when explaining why they might release a 15” MacBook Air. 😂

Why would Apple a 15” MacBook Air when the whole point of the MacBook Pro going away from 13” to 14” is so that there is a noticeable upgrade in screen size. Apple would be killing their 14” Mac Book Pro. I think vast majority of Mac Users really don’t need Mac Book Pro level performance. Besides Apple not ready for M3 silicon just yet. They release new silicon on the Mac Book Air. M1 Mac users don’t need to upgrade for a long while. The target would be Apple users still on Intel Macs.

  21. Matt Evans

    May 15, 2023 at 2:27 pm

Please no. I think this would be a huge mistake because there’s already too little difference between the air and regular macbook. Surprised the air still exists. This kind of product line minutia is what they managed to finally break away from back in the beige days. While choice is good, confusing people is not.

  22. Igor Costa

    May 15, 2023 at 5:09 pm

They could make it with m3 but nobody buyed m2 MacBooks so the chips need to be sell

  23. Joshua Lebowitz

    May 15, 2023 at 11:49 pm

Why can’t they make an 11 inch again? Still using a 2013 11 inch MacBook Air and it is hard to beat.

  24. ilhandurmus

    May 16, 2023 at 4:43 am

15 inch macbook air will mix minds at price tag , will be very close to 14 inch macbook pro.. apple has to reorganize product line up

There’s probably no time for a new laptop with all the other announcements. The whole VR is going to be huge. iOS17 is going to be huge. New iPhone is gonna be a thing.
What would be the point of presenting a new laptop that’s just a bit bigger? We might get to see a larger iPad because LP and FCP are coming for iPad though.
