Canine cognition expert Alexandra Horowitz offers a peek inside the mind of your dog, sharing solutions to common “misbehaviors” that are often simply the result of a pup’s attempt to communicate in a world that’s very different from their own. Hear about the evolution and psychology behind your dog’s actions — and how to give them a happier, healthier life.

Dogs are still wild animals.
They make constant noise, attack, injure and kill human beings.
Keeping them close is insanity!

This is why I have people have this pure hatred of pitbulls I have them and two infants and they adore them and protect them. Would I leave them alone for long periods of time no or in the floor with no but I wouldn’t do that with any dog.

Pitbull genetics roulette. Darwin spins the wheel. After the horror I’ve been through, no pitbull will survive more than 5 minutes on my property.

Good dogs rip toddlers and small pets apart. It’s their fault for provoking my pitbaby 😍

Pitbulls don’t understand why it’s not okay to murder their female household member when they smell her pregnacy hormones. Pitbull genetics roulette. Darwin spins the wheel. After the horror I’ve been through, no pitbull will survive more than 5 minutes on my property.

Once I realized a smell walk was just like a human reading a newspaper, I gave my dog more time to sniff the local news.

Thank you! Well said!
I’ve seen so many misbehaved pups and now understand why. Can you say that tiny dogs should wear diapers or use pee pads?

Lots of people in the comments seem to expect dogs to be something other than ANIMALS. Any scared predatory animal will attack their threat, even humans. An old woman will fight back if she thinks you’re attacking her.

Why do these people who claim dog misbehaviors are all “on us” never talk about the more serious misbehaviors? Is it a child’s fault when they get mauled by a dog? Seems like dogs who do that are plain and simple bad dogs.

0:23 “…they experience the world different from you…”
This is the truth of sentient life. No matter the level of intellect, all beings live by the condition of life, for us it’s the “human condition”. We may not always agree, but their is an objective truth to life and thus objective solutions. Communication is one of these solutions.

All have different personalities. Some are happy or crabby some are exceptionally smart and some are well… Just sweet. Lol. But they are all different! They have hearts feeling and souls just like us. And always there for you. So Dogs are not good. They are all of our Angles On Earth. ❤

In my old boarding house, the owner used to raised a dog. When he was a puppy, he’s so cute. I spent lots of time play with him. So he often came into my room to play, to sleep,… He was quite smart and clever. He often barked when some strangers came into our boarding house. But when he was 1 year and a half year old, he became more aggressive. He often went outside to play and then the neighbors often complained that he bit their kid. I didn’t believe and didn’t know why. Maybe he was being in the puberty period and often chased the kid while they were playing. He was vaccinated the rabies but everytime he bit a kid, the kid’s parent were always worry and make the dog’s owner paid the rabies vaccinating for their kid. To prevent him from biting other kids, the owner had to chain him and imprisoned him. I were so sorry for that. He died in a rainy day while trying to catch a mouse in the sewage that was electrified by an electricity leaked wire at his 3 years old.

IMO if you can’t raise a healthy happy dog, don’t even try to have kids.
