What’s Really Underneath This Massive, Noisy Siberian Crater?

And while it‘s not actually a portal to another dimension, the Batagay Crater (technically a “megaslump”) is an unsettling mark of our changing world.

So stupid lol. Did you know before he ice age there wasn’t any ice on earth. No antarctica ice, no glaciers. So what makes you think there should be some now? Our planet is going to continue to warm up no matter what we do. We’re still coming out of an ice age. You’re just wrong. Just like with organic food. Just wrong.

Lol it amazes me how many people still believe in this global warming caused by carbon dioxide nonsense.

In the ’70s they told us we were going into another ice age in the ’80s. They said, the greenhouse effect was trapping heat and it was going to be exponential until the oceans boiled. But then I remember it didn’t get hot for about 20 years. It just stayed normal so that’s when they came up with the term climate change because they’re like Jesus Christ that keeps going from cold to hot to not heating up anymore.

But here’s the thing they changed the name but they never gave an explanation of how climate change could make things colder

You see they told us that the amount of carbon dioxide in the air going up was directly proportionate to the heat going up. But as we surpassed 400 parts per billion, we didn’t have any heat increase. As a matter of fact, we’re setting blizzard records left and right, and only a complete idiot would accept a complete change of the science with no explanation of how that change works when you spent 30 years telling us how the greenhouse effect works. I’ve ever had been in a greenhouse that had snow in one corner of it and it was 110° in the other corner. Yeah me neither

There’s a reason they call it climate change now, not global warming. There is an overall average temperature increase, but that actually translates to a higher average and higher extremes, with some very low extremes.

I live in an area that used to get 1-2 feet of stable snow over the winter. It lasted from late fall to early spring. Nowadays, we get a few snows per year (usually starting in January), and it never sticks longer than a few weeks. That said, we do have occasional periods where it’s much colder than it should be, but we have no snow. We’re also experiencing higher winds every spring, tornadoes that we normally never have, and “once in a decade” droughts every summer.

The area that I’m living in is unrecognizable from how it was when I was younger.

My wife’s family lives in upstate New York. They tap trees for maple syrup. It’s been getting harder and harder to get good batches because they’re no longer experiencing the long periods of snow cover followed by fluctuations in temperature (which gives you the best yields as sap moves up and down the trees). They still make syrup, but the quality and quantity has changed from what it once was.

These are the early signs of climate change, and reflect shifts in the climate that would normally take hundreds of years that have been observed in just 20. The climate IS meant to be slowly changing, but it’s happening at a rate that evolution can’t keep up with, and is damaging ecosystems as a result.

You’re welcome to not believe it, but next time it’s unseasonably warm or cold, you have a severe weather event not common in your region, or you think back and go, “It’s been a long time since I saw ,” remember this comment.

I will note that CO2 emissions are NOT the only driving factor behind the greenhouse effect. Increased water vapor, methane gas, and others also contribute to the impacts.

Don’t mistake your lack of understanding for a lack of scientific understanding.

@JordanDurci ok. parrot more democrat lies. the earth has always changed and to think MAN can change it is ludicrous. You know it was MUCH warmer in the 1930s than now, and the medevil warm period even hotter. We THRIVE in heat and die in cold.
YOU dont understand because you dont THINK you only repeat. Think for yourself and tell me HOW a green house makes colder blizzards. science spent decades explaining the greenhouse effect, but when they switched to climate change they FORGOT to tell us how a greenhouse makes snow

Excellent. Enough negates any discussion of human intercession in climate.
    Climate always has changed
Eventually the sun will consume the planet and a volcano or meteor could end us all.

In just my lifetime, we’ve caused changes not seen in 650,000 years. That is not “normal” change. That is us blowing up the conditions that allowed humans to prosper. “The climate has always changed” is the words of a delusional person… like “people have always died so I can just kill your family”. No. That’s psychosis.
