Extremely important message. I had different beliefs 20 years ago from today. Criticizing me as a “whacko” among other things, wasn’t what made me change my mind. The insults did exactly this, and pushed me further from wanting to have any kind of productive conversations with anybody who I disagreed with.

What if the very thing that fuels those who believe in “conspiracy theories” isn’t belonging or some kind of external reward? What if their primary motive really is the pursuit of truth and those who ridicule them are the ones who value tribalism, emotion and ego over what is real? Given the number of “conspiracies theories” of the past that are considered true today, it may be wise for us to listen more closely to those we’ve convinced ourselves are on the fringe. Who knows? We may discover that we’re the ones out of touch with reality and that the people we once thought were out of their minds were actually right all along.

You mean like the people who believe crystals and meditation can cure terminal cancer?

People who claimed that the virus started in a lab in Wuhan were called conspiracy theorists.

I think those people are the ones who started the virus in order to break down the entire world order. In fact, it’s the conspiracy theorists themselves behind everything. They’re the actual illuminati.

It’s ok. We accept you then and now as a valuable person. You have great ideas and we would love to have an open conversation resulting in you feeling rewarded and with a sense of purpose.

Not all conspiracy theories are created equal.
