VO2 max readings for cycling exercises and not just walking or running would be helpful as well

I’m excited for this update, I just got the Apple Watch Ultra so this will be perfect. For smart watches, I don’t think anything comes close to the Apple Watch, my only complaint is battery life.

All I want is the time on the left side of the watch for lefty’s

@ Cnet , I know she had a baby but that was awhile ago , whatever happened to that other co-host , she was from another country lives in San Francisco I’m assuming, she always did videos with Lexy , she was a good presenter.

I have a apple watch ultra, I don’t use 99% of that stuff. I just use it to see the time and make calls when I’m someplace that I don’t want to bring my phone. Oh and I use it for the EKG and heart rate thing, but nothing else.

    • Math man Chris

      June 10, 2023 at 10:51 am

You’re probably better off downgrading to the series 8 and selling the Ultra. The Ultra is for people who care about the extra stuff plus people who go on extreme adventures

lol congrats on wasting your money on something you dont need

    • Holly Elizabeth.

      June 10, 2023 at 12:10 pm

@persona I didn’t waste money. It does exactly what I need it to do. Do you use every feature on everything you buy or do you use something’s. If you say you only use some of the things, welcome to wasting your money.

    • Holly Elizabeth.

      June 10, 2023 at 12:15 pm

@Math man Chris I bought for just a couple things. It doesn’t mean I wasted money, it just mean that I needed it for the things I wanted it for. Besides, when I carry my phone, it does everything else. I don’t need GPS on my watch, but if I did, I have it. I don’t need to see my messages on my watch, I have my phone for that. Right now I need to be able to leave my phone at home and be able to make calls.

    • persona

      June 11, 2023 at 7:52 pm

@Holly Elizabeth. you can do that with any cellular apple watch, would have saved hundreds.

    • Holly Elizabeth.

      June 11, 2023 at 8:19 pm

@persona maybe, but it’s my money.

Blah, Apple does nothing for this guy, I personally see wearables as a waste of money, but that is my opinion.

    • Math man Chris

      June 10, 2023 at 10:55 am

It really depends on what your use case is. If you want to use it as a health device, mental health, tracker, calls and texts (when your phone is unavailable), then smartwatches are perfect. I use smart watches for health and mental health, as well as the tracking capabilities. And the cool thing is unlike traditional watches, my smartwatch improves every year via updates. If you’re not into that stuff, then it would be a waste of money.

100% agree on the recovery metrics. Fitness tech in general sucks at estimating when we need to rest. They incentivize being unhealthy.

  13. persona

    June 10, 2023 at 11:41 am

kinda baffled sprinting is not a workout on the watch.

  14. Tiago Marquezine

    June 10, 2023 at 11:54 am

Been using it since launch and I love watchOS 10. I didn’t think it could get much better but it did.

  15. David Kipperman

    June 10, 2023 at 12:16 pm

The Ultra Watch is still a totally worthless watch for offline hiking. They should look at what Garmin does or at least talk to some real hikers for features that they would like and work.

    June 10, 2023 at 12:34 pm

Why Apple doesn’t add Whatsapp Call features in their Apple Watch Series? I missed this feature since i left Huawei Watch Fit 2 to Apple Watch Series 7 as my current watch now..

I want to get the new 15″ MBA
Now this video proves to me I need my first Apple Watch 🤦🏽‍♂

Looking forward to the different seeds in watchOS10 germinate and then eventually converge into things like the Journal app. I think Freeform & Journaling are two off watch [currently] experiences that offload things tracked on watch.

  21. Autumn Matthews

    June 10, 2023 at 3:56 pm

I want to keep the black background on my apps as it saves battery. Or is this a way to get people to upgrade to new watches with bigger batteries? I’m not sure I want it on my Series 6

  22. Troy Filson

    June 10, 2023 at 7:50 pm

You get that people are watching from other global geographies, right? Saying the OS is coming in the “Fall” presumes we all follow northern hemisphere and Americanised English. Aren’t you a globally focused media company???

  23. Bill James

    June 10, 2023 at 9:25 pm

My wish is that all of these improvements work for all the watches which the OS is good for and not just the latest and the greatest.

I just want to be able to use the apple fitness app. It pauses because I have tattoos, no other fitness app does this. Even if I just go on a walk, the apple fitness app will ask if I’m walking and it’ll have all the data, but if I walk using the apple fitness app it’ll pause. And let us see our VO2 Max on the watch! And show how many miles we run in the watch screen.

Fitbit detects the sleep automatically why can’t Apple do that,? I work nights and my schedule is not always the same so I have to modify that sleep timing pretty much every day, that’s annoying

  26. Zainal Smith

    June 11, 2023 at 1:13 am

Yep we need the Rest Day feature. How annoying my watch keep telling me to do workout every single day

As a Samsung user I hope the widgets make their way to WearOS. Apple is really good at refining things and I appreciate their ease of use, even if their restrictions dont work for me on a day to day basis.

  28. M. Muzinski

    June 11, 2023 at 3:04 am

I agree with missing expected features this year.. but I absolutely hate how under-utilised side buttons are! Those shall be bread and butter of the watch and not screen touching!!

  29. Georgig Washington

    June 11, 2023 at 10:33 am

I don’t like widgets. They keep making changes without asking users what they want. I’m no longer a fan of apple.

  30. Josh M

    June 11, 2023 at 7:09 pm

    Incremental changes… so disappointing.

  31. Christy Marshall

    June 12, 2023 at 1:51 am

I definitely dont need widgets on no watch that’s definitely gine bring the battery down

  32. jason Hall

    June 12, 2023 at 5:00 pm

I’d be happy if the Watch allowed some messages to be audible on the phone even when wearing the watch, I cant wear my watch at night when sleeping, because as a firefighter who gets fire call alerts via phone, the Watch vibration and bell ding doesn’t wake me, but my phone tone does.
