it’s first generation, and it’s expensive, it’s Apple. It has some shortcomings: battery , weight … but it’s like the first days of smartphones. We will accept it at the end. And other companies will realse thier products soon.

I feel that the real elite are laughting. Making reality ugly while vr making it look good. I wish i was born in the 60s. Would not have to witness this garbage

I got one and I think where apple has not fully figured things out at best, or dropped the ball at worst, is in the fit and comfort. They have tried by having differenced widths, thicknesses on the bands seals etc. But every persons face is different and there is no one size fits all. I found my cheeks had too much pressure with all the seals provided so I cut the seal and it improved both the comfort and the field of view. like you showed someone doing, I got a 2nd band and it is now fully comfortable and the weight is not felt much at all and the FOV is really wide (one complaint people have ). . The prescription eyepiece really makes it sharp even though I don’t have acute near sightedness and don’t often wear glasses, it’s highly recommended. It’s a great device but getting it fit to your face and head is challenging to say to say the least.

Gear VR?… which is deeply conected to the Oculus Quest line through the Oculus Go… so the Quest 3 is the closest we have to a Samsung Vision Pro

As an iPhone owner, I could never spend that much on this. Not surprised the fanboys are all “flexing” this, looks hilarious tbh, but will be neat to see where VR goes

The biggest flaw in this device is that you can’t share your experience with it with anyone else. Hence why I don’t think it’ll take off beyond its niche market.

UFD’s dual knit band mod is probably the idea I like the best. It makes sense and is sometime people could (crudely) do themselves now or that Apple could do (as a polished option) later.

the fact that Apple preempted how moronic people would be and actually felt the need to include these warning shows that some people should not be sold certain things.
those that got behind a wheel of a car should be banned from driving and receive a fine.

The vision pro does come with travel mode. To keep the app from floating away. You misses that, in your yet useful information.

  36. @franzpleurmann2585

    February 10, 2024 at 6:47 am

03:10 I dont own a Vision Pro. But there is Travel Mode which can be toggled which is specifically designed for this usecase. Kinda embarrassing for Cnet not knowing that and be so loud about the disadvantages when moving with the headset.

It was supposed to be 2020 model. I saw it in europe 2 years ago. It will be twice the price of the original. More in a audi market than a VW. What is the platform? Same as the Makan or the ID4?

Are we calling the women vision hoes?

  49. @ericcjacksonStudio

    February 10, 2024 at 6:09 pm

The Vision Pro is not see-through. It’s recreating the world through its camera sensors. If you’re walking near busy streets and this thing glitches… Unfortunately, I’m waiting for the first batch of people to be critically injured or worse. Simply because video clips are popping up all over the place of people stumbling or running into things. Apparently, Common Sense is not included in the purchase price.
