This is just proof that Bethesda had completely misplaced priorities. Morrowind was released in 2002, Oblivion came out 4 years later in 2006. Skyrim 5 years later in 2011. Its been 12 years, Elder Scrolls has never been more popular, and Bethesda stopped making their best product.
    Extremely disappointing.

I will always have immense respect for Todd and Bethesda as a whole. I’ve been playing their games since Oblivion, and their games have truly changed my life in many ways. It’s easy to discredit them for some of the faults in their games, but just like Rockstar, they have consistently tried to push the envelope forward for gaming for decades now. And I can always appreciate that.

Watching interviews with Todd, or the old Making Of documentaries for Oblivion and Fallout, it’s obvious that Bethesda is led by and filled with people who just love video games. They make the games they want to play and I commend that. After 6 painfully long years, I am still excited as ever for ES6 and look forward to Bethesda’s future.

Todd Howard has resorted to a PR firm for positive comments. Howard himself is the death bringer to the creative and intellectual assets of Bethesda. The company liquidator-in-chief. The bringer of many disappointments. The guy who lied about being in his high school chess club. If he had any real clue to what he was doing in entertainment he’d realize a lot of people have already jumped off the Bethesda ship to never return. Todd Howard is always at the heart of what becomes broken at Bethesda. Just do something else with your life already.

I’m thankful that Bethesda has kept the Fallout franchise alive for so long but I just wish they didn’t keep writing the exact same story over and over again for every new Fallout game with the exception of New Vegas. For a company that has experience in writing interesting stories in The Elder Scrolls, you’d think they would know better than to recycle the “Look for lost family member” trope 3 times in 3 separate Fallout games.

Seems like they’re fairly consistent with 3-4 year gaps between releases. I’m thinking ES 6 comes at the tail end of this console generation if not the beginning of the next one (2026-2027).

Fallout 76 has one of the most detailed/underrated open world maps. Im glad they fixed the game its great on series x.

      November 23, 2023 at 5:10 am

“fixed” it’s still a daily ChoreBored score grind without much substance after you put in some time. The events are cool, but f’ing West Tek is STILL the only solid grind spot for score, and the questing is weak af. They released Steel Dawn, it was awesome but short, then they just bailed on the idea of adding faction quests, and went with expedition bs.

enjoyed starfield but after i did the story twice i don’t find a reason to get back to it and do some exploring or side quests. it must be me. the game is valid and even if the mechanics are similar to the previous games it doesn’t matter. we are part of a new generation where nothing is never enough.
u doing a good job Todd.

They made some good games back in the day. I’d say Morrowind and Fallout 3 are their best. Fallout 4 being the most fun to play (regardless of some directions it took, the amount of technical systems, updates and that addicting gameplay loop make it super replayable.)

  147. Valanceer

    November 23, 2023 at 7:56 pm

I love how when it displays the systems it’s on… they only display the xbox consoles… oblivion and fallout 3 were on ps4, skyrim was on ps3, ps4 and switch… fallout 4 was also on ps4… 76 was on ps4…

  148. Valanceer

Yeah, ok, cool job…why’d you guys release Starfield in such a bugged out state?

By the time it performs as intended, there will be few interested players…all most players will experience is the lame bugged out version of Starfield…not a good choice for Bethesda’s reputation…
