So instead of genome editing and creating super humans who are stronger and more intelligent. We are stuck with machines that will make us dependant on their help until one day a more powerful race rips us out of our machines and crushes our weak throats beneath their boots.

With the right software this hardware could be used for training by adding targeted resistance instead of adding power. Same for physical therapy, start out assisting over time move to resistance.

Reminds me of Wall-E where everyone is more comfortable having a robot do their actions then doing the work themselves

we have to rely on a device to run n hike …. Pathetic
@Nightflash28
May 11, 2024 at 7:04 am
No, you doofus. Does everybody ride mobility scooters? Did we all need to rely on those?Did they end walking? Nobody needs to rely on this, but it can be a great aid to those that have physical impairments.

It is a tool. It can be used as described but it could also be used during training to resist movement. Even target specific muscle or groups. The applications for this, with the right software, are numerous.

I like it, but i wonder since it tries to predict movement then if you tripped accidentally while running wouldnt the exoskeleton then be “assisting” you knee into the pavement. Just sayin, dont shoot the messenger.

It will defeat the purpose of running unless you are running to reach somewhere quickly
