This is just an ad. Thumbs down.

Also, why even bother getting one when you can just either use an existing dedicated tablet, hack/use an e-ink device or use a normal calendar (physical or digital) like everyone else does?

To be fair, I do go over that in the video – Numi

This is just dishonest, since the downsides are addressed and fair comparisons are made.

@Motwera, obviously, because the point is to have a dedicated device to the calendar function and using a tablet already purchased requires it is rarely / not in use, also still remains capable to run the appropriate apps.
On top of this, a turnkey solution is convenient, especially when you have the money to spend on it.

It’s also a dumb product category. Bridget would have ripped it a new one.

What is the point? Why? I feel like these companies are just throwing garbage at the wall to see what sticks to the wall and what falls off the wall.

You must not have kids or you give your kids phones way too early.

The Magic Mirror should have been mentioned. Barrier to entry is much higher but the capability far out paces any of the calendar presented here.

Honestly not much point and way too expensive for something thats mostly locked behind a subscription.
I personally repurposed an old Mini PC i threw Linux on and an old monitor. Then throw on the free version of DAKBoard and thats it.
But a Raspberry Pi could do the same

I have a Skylight calendar mounted on my fridge. It works well for my young kids who don’t have devices of their own to keep tabs on the family schedules. Easier to deal with than paper calendar full of mistakes and revisions, and always up-to-date. Don’t use all the features yet, but generally view it as a plus.
